I've been buying content since I first discovered you could do so way back in the very early 2000's. We didn't have many payment processors and often it was a laborious process of going to Western Union and sending a payment and then waiting to recieve the email with the goods. Cameras were bad and webcams were worse. No one really knew what they were doing but it was better than dating. I was an honest guy who actually respected the women who were fulfilling my needs in a simple, straightforward manner without the headache of dating and dealing with people IRL. In 10 years I got scammed maybe once or twice.

But a few years ago that started to change. Suddenly, dealing with "models" was as much, if not sometimes more so, annoying as dealing with people IRL. In the face of rising prices and falling quality (it honestly feels like sometimes these girls are doing it on purpose - you have to *willfully* be screwing up to take worse pictures with an iPhone 11 than the old Logitech webcams from 2004...), I've turned to leak/trade sites vs subscriping or patronizing directly. Occasionally my interest will be piqued and I'll go spend some money. More often than not these past years, I am disappointed and wish I had spent the money on something else.

This is one such occasion that truly and really epitomizes the situation:

Discovered this girl, "Putri Cinta", from the old forum before The Simpening. She looked pretty good. Her content was pretty skimpy though - just the same old same old low effort poses and outfits. Letting her looks carry her without bothering with any creativity. And nothing incredibly spicy, mostly bikini stuff. A very paltry selection of short B/G videos, and some basic G/G stuff. Whatever, she looked good so I decided to sub to her free page and message her to see if she sold customs. I wasn't even subbed for a 12 hours and I got several PPV spams ($25-$50 for just a few pieces of media... one of them was 70% discounted and it was still almost $30 for a 2 minute long video...). I decided to try my luck and see if she sold customs to satisfy a particular fetish of mine:

What the actual fuck?

In a way, I can't blame her. Women are women and will be women. The sad thing is there *are* simps out there who will spend hundreds of dollars for "a couple" of pictures.

What sucks for her is she tried to get $200 and instead got nothing. She could have made a $50 and probably got my sub + future commissions but instead she walks with 0. Maybe she makes enough from desperate rich guys but she's simply priced out of the market for 99% of guys. Imagine having to be a 1%er to buy porn. Fucking unreal.

I'd rather just get it for free now.

It didn't used to be like this. Back in the day $20 would get you 20-40 pictures or a 5 minute video. Now you're lucky if you get a 30 second snippet of a premade when you order a custom and maybe a single blurry webcam quality photo.

Anyway. Guys. Keep doing what you're doing. This is the market at work.

Two things: You did work FOR HER, FOR FREE and you expected to get something free in return? then you got salty when you didn't? this kinda sounds like it's on you man. It sounds like she was dicking you around, you should have stopped giving her your time when she wasn't offering any compensation

Secondly, "used the money to fund her "lifestyle" which consisted of going to the gym, traveling around SE Asia with her "digital nomad" (aka: also unemployed) boyfriend, and getting her nails done every day, and "modeling" (aka, shooting 10 second videos for TikTok). She started making some money and moved into a more expensive apartment and got... I kid you not guys... a chihuahua."

My guy, what do you care what people do with their money? Not saying this woman deserves the money she gets, but if enough people are paying her to fund this kind of lifestyle, it's because someone out there sees the value in it (whatever it may be)

Gotta be honest, if taking ten second TikTok videos and taking some sexy pictures allowed me to travel with my partner whenever i felt like, gave me enough free time to go to the gym every day, treat myself to luxuries like getting my nails done, and make enough to live in an expensive apartment, and treat my pets I would 10000% without a doubt do it.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

I 'grew up' with erotic paysites, the classic and simple business model of paying $10 - $30 a month and then getting access to a full catalogue of galleries and videos of whatever company you signed up to. Seemed fair, made sense. I also really liked the idea of Onlyfans, having models run their own sites and making content that's more 'real', not just glossy professional stuff but selfies, behind the scenes, some interaction. Always been one who enjoyed the more real, amateur style nudes to the overdone productions like Playboy and so Onlyfans was a great development.

The obvious idea was that now models (pros and newcomers) could eliminate the middle man and while OF still takes a cut obviously, a model now had full control over her own content, maintain copyright, set the prices and decide what to upload. For a while I think it worked pretty well, with the simple, aforementioned concept of paying a certain amount a month and getting access to a stream of new and archived content.

Then more and more profiles started with PPVs, unlockable posts and DMs, pay to message, VIP memberships, clubs etc. and it all went downhill. I've seen a good number of profiles I used to follow that turned into complete ass by switching their business model. I can only assume it's the influence of 'social media manager' types, looking at bigger/more successful profiles or plain just getting advice from other friends doing it.

I would honestly summarize it as 'Greed', plain and simple. Now I'm not gonna pretend that downloading stuff for free or leaking paid content is some kind of justified, noble robin hood type activity, but so many of these models have completely lost it when it comes to the idea of a fair exchange. There's no concept anymore of 'ok, these people pay a certain amount per month and I will provide fun content', now it's all about 'how much money can I squeeze out of gullible, horny idiots, how good am I at tricking people into spending more on me?'.

So in that sense, yeah, leak away. I'm not saying all models do that but those that do, they can honestly go fuck themselves. They wanna lament their content gets leaked while trying to lure people with misleading descriptions and demand insane money for the most basic of content? Fuck them.

I remember years ago when websites similar to onlyfans and such started popping up, there was this formula for posting your nudes.
The girl would charge like $50, then after a few people bought it she'd drop the price down to $10 or less because they knew it'd get leaked, but at a low price, people would buy it like it was a bargain. So they'd make that big hit and then lots of little hits adding up to be more than the original price.
Now it is just "GIVE ME $100s for me in a bathrobe! arrrrrgggh!!"

I will say though, I have found some content creators that are worth my time and dime thanks to this community. and have subscribed to them.
This helps me weed out the creators that are lazy, scammers or just plain disrespectful to their customers.
I personally have subbed to over 14 creators because of this community. I respect good work ethic and integrity in any business transaction no matter what type. I do not give a hoot how hot a chick is if they are lazy or scam people.

I completely agree with you.
But I must add, these women (at least in SE Asia) don't really run their own OF accounts, they usually have these modern day pimps who basically own them (in a way) and own the rights to all the photos, videos and other material they make. You would think Putri, Erzabel and other women would already live in a Monaco apartment with the amount of money they make but yet they don't. They probably get a taste of the money, maybe 10% and the rest goes to these guys.
There were Dan Bilzarian videos and you could see Putri in the background, Dan's team probably got in touch with some people and they found Putri and some other women.
But, there is luck for us, regular guys. I had a friend who worked in Singapore for several years and every couple of months would visit Indonesia... Him being tall, European was a enormous advantage and women were all around him just to get a glimpse of the world beyond Indonesia. He could have married them if he wanted to.

My last straw for OF was when I subscribed to some girl named ivvyofc. She charged $25 a month and I was stupid enough to do it. So after paying $25 for the month her top post was "did you really think I would show you anything good for $25 a month" or something similar to that. And then under it was a PPV, $50 for a single picture. I had been scammed a couple of times but that was by far the worst.

I wanted to add my opinion on what led me here in the first place, and has become a frustrating trend. Women spamming reddit with what looks like AMAMZING content, then having a fairly high subscription price on OF (making it look like they have full content) and then all of that content being locked behind a paywall/PPV.

The first OF I paid for was Bea York. She had been posting a *bunch* of G/G content and previews and saying things like "See more on my onlyfans!!" So I bit the bullet and joined, excited to see it, when all I found on her page was NOTHING but mediocre solo content. I messaged her about the G/G content, and she told me that it was all available on her manyvids. I was pissed that I had paid for a bunch of nothing, and felt lied to. I discovered that it was a common practice.

It mostly steered me away from OF for a while, but I eventually tried again and found some good creators, and made it a habit of making sure that the content that led me to their pages was not going to be PPV.

But then it happened- I subscribed to a creator who claimed "no PPV," and as soon as I logged in, I saw that, while that was technically true, all they posted was shorter clips than their reddit as ads for their manyvids. So, furious, I Googled the name, found the old leaker site, and haven't looked back since.

Now, I try to make it a habit to only search here for creators that do expensive PPV, and especially those that claim none, or spam the crap out of reddit with great looking content that winds up being PPV. Or, as people have said, creators that only have like, 7 pieces of content on their page.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents, and I'm grateful for this community. Keep fighting the good fight.

There's also the issue with ''whales''. Some creators feel totally justified selling a shitty iPhone video they filmed at 200$ because all it takes is one or two people to buy it. Convincing 20 people to buy your 10$ video still requires convincing 20 people. But if you can convince 1 one person with more money than brains, you've justified the price.

When you see creators post content for absurd amounts of money, it's not to convince their loads of average subscribers to buy, it's to convince the 3 or 4 ''whales'' that they know will shell out the big bucks.

I started doing it back in the aol or something days because even as a youngin I found paying for porn dumb. Later on I think camwithher got popular in the mid 2000s.
I hated that hand bra era (that has returned stronger than ever now with onlyfans) so I got back into the hobby.

Now I share stuff when Im bored because I think video is too good to be behind paywall. I want everyone to feel as excited as I am.

I work in software/eCommerce, and what these OF thots haven't figured out is that it's not worth charging large sums most of the time; you make bigger money by figuring out the price point at which most people are willing to pay.

But sadly, there are always gonna be suckers falling for the scam.

Sure you can. Just because I like her body and watching her do dirty things doesn't have any bearing on my evaluation of her as a *person*. Most of the girls on OnlyFans have rotten and nasty attitudes. And they're using paywalls and making up rules as they go in order to maximize how much money they can make and minimize quality and effort. So fuck'em, I agree.
