Do not insult your customers by trying to finesse them, your customers talk to each other whether you know it or not.
They act like we're trying to date them or something, giving that attitude and playing those "scarcity games". In reality they're the thirsty ones, thirsting for our petty change.
Preservation is actually a big benefit. There's so many models who seem to believe (or pretend to) that the sub price and everything you pay to unlock only entitles you to look at the content on Onlyfans for the duration of your sub. At the same time, I've seen a bunch of profiles who, from one day to the next, suddenly decide to 'change their business model' and either delete all previously posted content or turn every free wallpost into a PPV.
Like, imagine being subscribed and thinking 'man, I really wanna look at this picture again she posted 2 months ago' but hey, now it's either gone or you gotta pay $10 to 'unlock' that specific post. Emma Kotos did that, she nuked her whole OF, then made it 'free' and all PPV and VIP stuff. If you didn't save her content before, you were shit out of luck. Or models who randomly decide to abandon or close down their accounts, basically eliminating everything on their profile.
It's not just Onlyfans of course. Only recently Sara Underwood closed down her Patreon after several years. A Patreon that had hundreds of high res nudes and an archive with dozens of her travel log style videos going back years. And she did it in such a shitty way that she basically just made a post announcing that it won't continue next month and unless you were already subscribed or even subscribed to the right tier (with videos), there was zero chance to save all that stuff because you couldn't subscribe anymore.
Escaflowne/Escafrisky/Escabae did the same thing. She had a huttco and this was when there weren't so many extensions available for downloading stuff, so you had to painstakingly look at source code. And the image and video quality wasn't that great, it was all compressed.
Anyway her content was great and then one day POOF. All gone. No warning, nothing.
As far as I'm concerned and I think as far as the law is concerned, you have the "rights" to the images and videos, you can download them to your PC. Just can't "legally" share them.
Yup. I'm not a lawyer or anything but these copy/paste warnings and legal notices a lot of models post, about how you're not allowed to download or save their content 'without consent' is absolute nonsense. I've noticed that a bunch of models even try to make extra buck through selling download links to the content they've posted on their wall. Basically an idiot tax for anyone who can't figure out on their own how to download from OF.

Genuine question though - you mentioned some nights talking to these girls on OF, having conversations and tipping them every now and then. I've thought about doing that a few times, but I always get put off by the thought that they might have hired someone especially to handle conversations coming in 24/7. Has that ever crossed your mind that it could be someone other than who you're paying to see? It could be so easy for someone to provide a 'content manager' with a bunch of selfies and PPV content and just drip feed those to people they're conversing with on the model's behalf.
Then again you've said they've been long-term conversations, so hopefully by now you've had a chance to suss out whether those three people are real or not.

What I've also seen is they simply make the existing, previously free posts into PPVs. So I could see all the 'likes' I made on locked posts that now I had no way of interacting with anymore (unless I bought them). The best part is that this stuff always happens overnight, without warning. If you didn't save or thought 'I'll do it on the weekend' you're out of luck.
There's also another annoying thing, like 'thesexyvegan' did. When she started out, she'd post a bunch of stuff, full nude, well shot pictures when she was 19-20 or so.
