Yeah it was great, right? She got really into it.
She has a 3D model in the works (eta: soon™) and both she and her audience want 3D streams to return (on both Twitch and Fansly) so I'd say the future is bright for YFU fans.
Well Mel hasn't done a 3D coom stream in 2 months; in fact she hadn't done an 18+ stream at all in two months until last week lol. Moreover, her peppering of 18+ streams this year have been overwhelmingly L2D.
And I mean if we're being completely honest Mel hasn't viewed NSFW content creation as her main focus in... years(?) at this point, so I think it's fair that there are contenders to the throne.
So... Stronny is playing Elden Ring with a heart monitor and a shock collar that zaps her every time she dies.
What's with the VAllure girls and shock collars?! I mean, it ain't like I AIN'T hard from hearing her get zapped, but ain't this a very specific fetish?
Hey McKinzie, I have a question regarding streamlink, but first of all let me say: you're the goat! Thanks for spearheading lewdtube community/thread in here, and this guide is really really helpful. We appreciate it.
For my question: I tried streamlink recently and work wondrously for ongoing twitch stream, but I ended up with a whopping 14GB mkv file. Is there a way to compress the end result without sacrificing the video quality? Thanks in advance.
as a backbone and when it records a stream it uses -c copy to copy the encoding of the stream and then remuxes it into whatever container you've specified (in this case it's an .mkv). This results in that huge filesize.
You can compress it down using any number of video compression tools but these will usually take a noticable whack to the video quality. What you really want to do is HEVC it.
There are multiple ways to HEVC (which I intend to cover in a future tech guide lol), but it's actually dead simple to do using ffmpeg itself (which you'll already have if you have Streamlink).
In your CLI navigate to where ffmpeg is, make sure the .mkv is in the same directory and use this command - ffmpeg -i "streamlinkrecording.mkv" "streamlinkrecordingreencoded.mkv"
The default settings of ffmpeg will attempt to adjust the constant rate factor to reduce the bitrate without hitting the visual quality too hard. Obviously you can add extra arguments to fine tune the process, but the default settings are a decent starting point.
Also, just as a reminder - the filesize of several hours of 1080p60fps video is going to probably pretty chunky regardless, but this will trim it down
Not gonna lie, I'm really noob to all this, literally started this yesterday. All I did was download ffmpreg, extract it, and then download streamlink and installed it. Ran a code I found other people use as an example on the internet via command prompt
(changing the url and title of the filename of course), and cross my finger it works. lol.
So I probably have to do more learning on my end, before jumping any further.
But what you're saying is that I can use the command you give as long as I have my .mkv file on the same directory as my ffmpreg file? So all I need to add is "greencoded" after my actual .mkv file in my command prompt? (I'm gonna use simpcity as my file name for simplicity sake) i.e :
If you're using Windows you can do a lot of the heavy lifting by just going through file explorer -
In file explorer navigate to where you've installed ffmpeg
Paste your streamlink output recording into that folder
In file explorer right click inside the folder and click "Open in Terminal" (this will open a new command prompt/powershell in the right directory) Note I think this only appears in the right click context menu on W10 or higher
In this new terminal window you can use the ffmpeg command and you should be ready to rock and roll. ffmpeg -i " streamlink recording goes here.mkv" " this is the output file.mkv"
Lemme just breakdown what all the pieces of the command mean - ffmpeg is ffmpeg (you can also substitute it for ffmpeg.exe as thats the executable); -i is the input file, so in the "" you should paste in the filename of your streamlink recording; And the second set of "" is the output file - you can name it whatever you want.
The command will make a reencoded copy of the original file (with whatever filename you specified as your output). Note: HEVC is a slow process that's dependent on the computational power of your setup. It has to go through every frame of the video stream and reencode the data so it'll take a long time if you're trying to do it on a potato.
Ah I see, this is very infromative and easy to digest! I will try this soon and goes back to you if I hit any hiccup. (But this is straightfoward enough that I think even a noob like me can do). Thanks McKinzie! Much appreciate! 🙏
Hopefuly my potate PC can do HEVC without much problem.

Instead of our regularly scheduled Tech Guide, this week I'm introducing a new addendum to The Week In Lewdtubing called "Simp Netiquette: A Guide For The Proper Browsing of Simp City, Because Simpin' Ain't Easy". This will be rotated in and out with the tech guides biweekly.
~ SIMP NETIQUETTE ~ LESSON 1: THE RULES AND RITUALS OF REQUESTS
One of the wondrous aspects of this site is you're able to create a thread to request the content of any creator you can think of and, with any luck, a fellow user will be able to help you out. Unfortunately many users don't quite understand how Request threads work and as a result many of the ones create are left empty or are clogged up with useless replies.
Luckily you can follow this simple guide to avoid some of the usual pitfalls and help your own request thread stand out.
So lets say you have a lewdtuber or avtuber you'd like to request the content of; Follow these simple instructions and you'll be well on your way.
(A lot of it might seem bleedingly obvious but you'd be surprised how many users get these wrong!)
If you follow these steps, with a little of that aforementioned luck, your request thread wont join the mass grave of abandoned ones that haunts the site.
Happy Simping!
If you have any ideas/suggestions for future Open Questions, Tech Guides or Simp Netiquettes let me know in the thread or in my DMs
Does anyone have something of Blu_Haze on Fansly? She is a VRstreamer on twitch that does discord private stream, as well as Fansly stream from time to time. She never saved her vod, so it's really hard to find her stuff. She is going to stream on Fansly right now. I'm planning on getting it myself, but isn't sure if streamlink will work on there.
Sorry was writing up the addendum to the news post lol.
So, no, Streamlink wont work on Fansly for two reasons -
Streamlink requires external plugins to handle links from porn sites (CB for example) and no plugin for Fansly has been made yet.
To get the manifest of the stream from Fansly's API it requires you to send an auth token which is kind of a faff to do (thanks to Fansly's codebase being kinda shit lol) This is why nobody has made a plugin it.
In regards to BluHaze, I've set her stream to record now, so I'll have a partial recording of it.
Funnily enough my addendum to the news post was about creating request threads - if you want to use it to create a request thread for her I can post it after the fact. Talk about a happy coincidence!
