While I assume she has plenty of money, you make a good point. The year off, moving, if her roommate didn’t/doesn't have a job, even if she lives in a less expensive state I’m sure she’s doesn’t live very frugally. She’s probably not strapped for cash, but maybe not quite as well off as we might guess. Although her grandma did pay for her entire family to vacation in Hawaii not that long ago, so her family might have money if she ever needs it
