It makes sense that they're focused more on their creators, because what they see are accounts bringing them tens of thousands each month, so why would they care if random user #5935 got scammed and blocked by someone?
I think a lot of the issues also come down to what most social media platforms struggle with, investing in customer support and having actual people to help customers with issues. Everyone just wants to build a platform and let it run on algorithms and automated forms, prone to abuse and difficult to actually get help when you need it.
A number of models run great accounts, with clear descriptions of what to expect (nips, pussy etc.), preview pictures and clips (censored if needed) and being generally very active and clear on what things cost and what you get. Presumably they do this simply because they learned it's a good business model for them, otherwise, why bother?
All these VIP and endless PPV in DMs spam suggests more of a 'I wanna make a lot of money but not actually work too hard on it' attitude. Hence also the rise of all these management firms. And I get it, for models with a big following/brand, they'd get lots of DMs and figure it's too time consuming but generally speaking, running an OF is already piss easy but models don't even wanna put in that amount of work and rather give up a share of the profits so they don't have to bother.
OF would never do this but a review system for profiles would be amazing, same as any product page offers. Letting people who've been verified as current or former subs write reviews based on their experiences. As we can see from this thread, creators absolutely HATE the idea of people writing their honest experiences with them, because it might deter 'future idiots'. While this system could also be abused, this is again where actual customer service would come on, real people looking at this stuff and moderating. Hell, some simple cam sites have this and when I see a cam girl with 2/5 stars, am I gonna think she'll do a great performance? Nope.
