It's starting to get annoying, especially when the three letter word is the only thing that seperates you from a hundered generic hits.

Seriously. Sometimes I want to see if there's a thread for someone who I can only identify with two or three Chinese characters. Needless to say, no results were yielded.
I had considered searching via Google (site:https://simpcity.su/), but a test with someone with three letters that's even in the name of their thread came up with absolutely bugger all, so that clearly isn't going to work.

Why? This is the only forum I've been to that forbids 3 letter word searches. And I've been on forums for 20+ years including running my own VBulletin and PHP forums back in the day. I'm fairly certain this forum's software is just plug and play and the 3 letter word block is just some option in the admin panel.
Some longer but common words are also disallowed as search terms. It doesn't seem to be about 3-letter words specifically. The restrictions seem to exist entirely to reduce server load with the additional hope of encouraging better tagging. I agree the restriction is unlikely to change.
Well I can blow that theory out of the water since I'm assuming most people (like myself) end up running five different variations of the same search becuase one crucial three letter word is missing.

i am no expert in the matter but from what i can tell most people aren't aware of the advanced search
and eliminating all the 3 or less words from the search drastically cuts down on all the content per search the server has to go through.
No it doesn't. People don't give up after the three-letter seach fails. They search again.... and again. Usually they have to search a few different times to find a new key word to replace the three-letter word. The site is literally tripling the number of searches by omiting three-letter words.
You can search for their Onlyfans/Instagram handle.
That is true and something I considered. Here is my other argument(s). Can’t search for 4K. I mean it’s the year 2023, 1080p is old and outdated LOL. hell even 5K, 7K VR those are all formats we will see gaining popularity.
So we can’t search 4K / 5K / VR / HD / ass. Plus many stars with 3 letter names such as Emma Hix, Sky Bri, Natalia Nix, Sky Pierce
Might be a common first or last name, but the 3 letter omitted word is the key to narrowing down the search.
Ok you win! 🤣 knowing the handle is helpful (that’s if there is a handle). Same can be said about knowing the first/last name too. So if the handle doesn’t work then there is the alternative option of first/last name and vice versa. imo first name and/or last name is still the best query.
Good point about the tags but not all posts have tags. i have seen those tags used in the title or plain text of the post but never as a tag like it should be. I’ve seen many posts using the word 4K, but not as a tag. I Usually stumble across these posts unexpectedly. Then when I search 4K I’m like WTF it’s right there I just saw 20 posts with 4K. Frustrating.
Lol, dude. I don't think the userbase is going to latch onto tags the way you want us too. This thread alone should prove we just want to search.

To the admins:
If you're not allowing users to search threads that contains 3 letter words, then don't allow users to create threads that has 3 letter words.
To the users (possible solution):
Search for threads without spaces (if that model has a "surname" too).
