That reasoning is sound. However, if you visited a new store where each item was hidden in a box, would you shop there?
Counter-argument: Most people who watch threads here already know what is in it and likely have dl'd the "mystery file" from two weeks ago.
Okay, but what about newbies? Do we want more traffic or not? Click-baiting is a turn-off, man. Period.
So, here is my point:
IF we strive to make the site great and not just okay (and identifying posts without giving away tags/keywords for pirate hunters would be ideal), is that not why this site keeps coming back? To own the leak/sharing market? Certainly it is not just for gits and shiggles, now, huh? Or hell, maybe it is....
I'm a continuous improvement guy in the real world, so I can't help but think in terms of trying to make better better, as I like to say.
That's my 2 cents....and I don't expect change.
