Its intentional because it turned into a spam filled request thread rather than what it was first intended for.
I dont think it'll be permanent, more we forgot about it with the forum move etc.
Is there a chance to enable sorting by unread in watched threads? Helps with the browsing, keeps all the new unread stuff on the first page and read stuff in the later pages.
aren't they set like that by default?
They're ordered by last post date.
throweraccount is asking for an additional sort by read/unread i.e. show unread first. I found an addon for it but two things, not sure we'd install anything new right now until things are more stable and I fear the 'only unread' user tickbox it has might get set by someone, forgotten about and then they'll be confused where all their threads are.
I'll take that as a maybe sometime in the future. lol I can wait. Things ARE busy right now. I just got back from a break and having 10 pages of unread made me think about the sorting thing. Thanks for the consideration POKI
Well unfortunately all threads got marked as unread during the move, if you know you were up to date prior to the move you can select 'Mark forums read' and then just go back through the new stuff
I CAN'T DO THAT lol I have to check... the only threads that I could do that to is probably the who is this thread and the Asian variant of the same. I help there occasionally but sometimes there's just way too many pages to go through and I just clear the unread.
My experience is the opposite, it's absolutely unusable for me at the moment. Any action on the site takes minutes, be that opening links, checking alerts, replying, etc.

Yup, there is still tuning to be done, the server has very little load, the database is hanging up
Ah okay thanks for clarifying! I'm assuming Requests should be directed to one of the other "unknown model" threads, etc?
That was a bit of my experience logging in today, but overall it's been a net positive and much quicker loads for me than in the past :)
taking a very logn time to open threads from my alert page, used to take at most 30 seconds/thread, now it feels like 5 minutes, getting 503 errors and pages simply stop loading.
Could you please elaborate so we know what to investigate about it
