Thats just how xenforo (forum software) is written to be, the assumption they made is that if you dont visit a thread after an alert then you weren't interested, not necessarily a good assumption but the one they made.
There's a mark forums read button which will mark everything as read and fix your alerts issue, I have no idea if this can be done for all or not

Yup, known issue, this is a fresh install on a new server and it needs some tuning, settings configured, limits changed etc.
Should get better in the next few days
I remember I used to get occasional popups of stripchat, but before the maintenance the pop ups used to open in a seperate tab without bothering me while browsing but now it redirects me to the stripchat tab so I have to manually close it first then continue back to the forum to browse, I mean it's not much of an issue knowing that these ads keep the site running but before they didn't use to redirect and were barely noticed. Either way I'm glad the site is back after maintenance :)

So whenever I go do something else or change windows, whenever I come back I see the message below. And it just cycles over and over. So I have to close out completely and open a new window and re-login.

Just wanted to mention that my only comment has been removed, as well as all associated trophies reactions etc. Not a huge deal just wanted to report it.
Dunno if this is a known/widespread problem but I can only see a few of my posts (3 at the moment) and all my profile views are gone (used to have something like 1,600, now its at 17). As well as that, when I go to the "about" tab, I have no followers and the people I used to follow are gone. Was this information lost in the maintenance or will it come back in the next few days? Many thanks
Yes, the new pop-up implementation is definitely a lot more intrusive. Ublock used to dispose of them without calling your attention to it, now the click overlay on every re-visit happens regardless of what you click on.
I'd be interested in paying a nominal fee to get rid of them even if rank/status doesn't work for that anymore

Rewording the tagging/prefixes was the best worst change you could have made; now finding certain content, without the aid of browser favorites and/or the name of the content creator in the "search" form, is totally impossible.
Even reformulating each user's personal content in their profile doesn't help at all in the search for their past content.
In my opinion bad changes, now the site appears to be dispersive in searches.

Known issue, will be fixed soon.
There's a bunch of shit that needs to be adjusted, just have some patience please
Will Prefix IDs be repopulated at some point (Asian, Ebony, etc)? Seems like very few have them now.
They are not intentional changes
- Multiple prefixes will be returning, they got lost during the transfer because no addon data made it over (this is a fresh install of xenforo) but a transfer will be in place for them. None of them got reworded, didn't have time for anything like that, was too busy going through each individual prefix setting up what categories they can be used in because that didn't make it over
- Search is currently broken, the elastic search addon we used has not yet been installed.
The maintenance was already long enough, keeping it going until everything was perfect would have been more annoying for everyone and tbh we weren't searching for threads so I certainly missed that it was broken before launch. We could see how desperate you all were to return because we had record online numbers 50K+ while the forum was closed
Based on average visit time you should only end up with one pop per visit, maybe two if you stick around a while.
If you keep coming back during the day then you'll trigger it again each time

However, searching for short keywords doesn’t work anymore, so one cannot search for “DP” for example (for scientific purposes of course).
Before this was possible, and therefore empowered a large body of academic research, for which humanity will be thankful.
Anyway, if I could search for “DP” again that would be great, thanks!
