At the risk of sounding like I'm self promoting, I posted the streams 2lyn_98 did which she went kinda viral for yesterday in her thread on here (she had 37k viewers at one point!). I flicked between all the other ones I was following and didn't see anyone else doing anything particularly risky personally, only her.

Problem is that only select booba streamers bring in the subs and bits. The rest and the normal streamers go for Paypal, Toonation, and Twip. Even with Nicolaslezak, he primarly oiled in Toonation with Godsehee.

Then you got to think, even with all the revenue some booba streamers bring, it was apparently not enough to cover the loss Twitch was getting in Korea.

You must be joking right, small Twitch streamers that moved to Afreeca suddenly blew up out of nowhere. Like Kiraemin for example, before moving to Afreeca her viewership is around 100-200 but after moving to Afreeca her viewership roses to 600-700. Could be 1k if collab with other major streamer. I mean it's not a wrong move for them to move to other platform.

Note that the reason why koreans streamer left Twitch is because of the expectations that their twitch account would not be accessible or will be removed after end of support but it's just that they just implement removal of Twitch Partnership and it still accessible through VPN

Most international simps don't know how to use Twip or Toonation tbh (implying that they are lazy to learn) or they want some benefits from using Twitch donation systems like badge or recognition from huge donation to the streamers.

May(Cook's gf?) still has her sub button. Must have signed up with that agency but they haven't announced it yet or had Cook's help in setting up her own thing.

hm, i think only a handful of streamers get contract. the most obvious streamer i assume is woohank on hakuna. if somehow these big kr streamer still stay in twitch, it kinda defeat the purpose of the "korean entity" to push twitch out of competition :MEGALUL:

So far it seems based on the stream tests that Afreeca is the easiest site to transfer to, but most are choosing Chzzk because its backed by Naver and doesn't have a bad rap like Afreeca despite the fact Chzzk is still in beta and they are only getting around 20% of their viewers to come over. Sooflower even tried putting her Twitch chat in emote only mode to get viewers up on her Chzzk, but she still had less then 500 viewers while on Twitch she still had about 2500. What's even funnier is that even more risky booba streamers like Sorammmm & E_Chi_h are choosing Chzzk over Afreeca and get mad if you ask why, even golaniyule0 doesn't want to go over and instead is doing more 19+ on her Likey & FlexTv. Really shows how shot Afreeca's reputation is in Korea despite improvements and having more viewers and way easier foreign viewer integration, there really must have been way more shady things going on that we still don't know about. I suppose the long term upside for us is that if Chzzk continues to not get views and the yeocams still don't want to go over to Afreeca then more will start doing 19+ content like golaniyule0 or at least at the level of woohankyung's recent streams.

As for the subs and donos thing, most Twitch Korean female streamers had chats full of subs and bit leaders, the only people still pushing the narrative that Koreans don't sub are people that don't actually watch Korean streamers or perhaps only LoL streams because Korean male streamers do get way less gift sub bombs in chat. I remember this Croatian streamer dude that got famous in Korea and he got really salty at his Korean viewers for never subbing him & ended up quitting.

Streamers that have a majority foreign oilers and not many Korean ones, won't be likely to pick Afreeca. In the past, Afreeca had issues with foreigners using chargeback on balloons so they implemented a 90 day window before streamers are able to withdraw balloons donated from foreign accounts. This is the primary reason people like aesoon are using flex instead of afreeca.

Edit: Afreeca needs to do something about that 90 day window for foreign donations. If they can reduce that and still protect themselves from chargeback, then more booba streamers would move there.

Hopefully, something is in the works, especially since Afreeca wants to go global. At least they want to do so in the esport scene.

Afreeca has the same conversion rate as chzzk. 60/40 for everyone, 70/30 for best BJ/pro gamer, and 80/20 for partner BJ/partner gamer. Pretty sure panda and flex conversation rate is similar at 60/40, I’m not sure if they have their own version of best BJ/partner BJ because I have never seen any indication of that on either panda or flex. 60/40 is better than twitch’s standard 50/50. And best BJ is very easy to obtain, at least for long time twitch streamers who switched to afreeca. Easier than Twitch’s partner plus program. The twitch to afreeca welcome program gave most long time twitch streamers 400 hours towards best BJ application. Those streamers only needed to stream an additional 100 hours to qualify for best BJ. That’s why froggy, haruzxxng, tilda, woojung and all of them were able to get best BJ after 1 month.

Edit: I can't find any documentation of it on Flex, but I think there is a conversation rate higher than the standard. Just guessing, but when flex first started they signed a couple of afreeca/twitch streamers to one year exclusive contracts. I'm guessing those streamers got more than the standard 60/40. It didn't really work out for flex, since all of those streamers just returned to afreeca after their contract ended. I know for a fact that parkhael signed a one year contract with flex before she got perma banned off twitch. Thinking about it now, I think some of the twitch streamers that moved to flex such as golaniyule might have signed a one year contract too.
