I can confirm that "DRM" has been rolled out for some video content, and that the scraping tools/techniques that I have been using no longer seem to work for those videos (which also happen to run like shit on my device).

I'm definitely not going to be buying content and subscriptions if archiving is going to be a pain moving forward.

Ask that question yourself, does Denuvo block people from hacking games? No it's a useless DRM but now you might say "but it's not the same situation" to that i can tell you 2 things:
-Attackers will always have an upper leads against the defense. (Except if it's highly secure but we are talking about coomer stuff, nobody is interested into highly securing that stuff)
-Leakers always exist

So no this stuff won't block shit, and the people that are tweeting about it that this will protect their content are the same people that believe Messenger and whatsapp is totally secure and private.

Edit: forgot to mention this, read the last sentence. If you want a better security you might need to do some compromise, if ppl have device where they can't look at the content they will leave. Double edge sword lol

Just use a sandbox and open chrome. DRM wont work on sandboxed browsers.

I have a suggestion. Why don't we make a separate thread to keep track of all the creators that have DRM enabled and then keep this thread exclusively for workarounds and new methods for downloading/screen-recording DRM content. I think that would be better.

I didn't wait. As soon as I found out I couldn't easily download their videos anymore, I immediately messaged the last couple of girls I'm still subscribed to and told them that I won't be renewing or buying any new custom content anymore because they enabled DRM.

No reply from either of them as yet.

Also, I've decided that I'm done with OF completely. It's been a long time coming tbh, but this is definitely the straw that's broken the camel's back. Never before have I known a more anti-consumer company than OnlyFans, and I refuse to support them or their greedy scamming creators any longer.

lol the second half is why they'll never be as big or as attractive as OF.

But on this DRM celebration... It just shows how smooth-brained so many of these content creators are.

They never resort to being more consumer friendly.

They don't make an effort to provide quality previews for their videos.

They don't try to make better content.

I see no reason why they don't make old content available as a sort of content bank to give their membership some value. There's a reason why some accounts thrive no matter what level of piracy affects their content. (Look at Dredd)

I would even argue for the Game of Thrones halo effect.

I'll be on the lookout for it on my future purchases.

It will absolutely have a negative impact on the number of subscribers, and therefore OF's bottom line. To what extent that impact will be, I don't know, but I'm guessing it will be significant.

Only the most technically illiterate didn't know how to download videos before DRM, which means that a vast majority were downloading videos. When those folks realize that they can no longer do so, I suspect most of them will abandon OF completely, like many (including myself) already have. The value proposition just isn't good enough anymore. I mean, it was bad before, but not being able to download videos for personal use? That's where most people will draw the line.

Maybe that loss of subscribers will be enough for OF to backtrack the DRM thing, but I don't see how they could. They're too invested now.

As for them 'winning' and killing off communities like this one... I don't see that ever happening. As long as it's still possible to leak content, in some shape or form, the pirate community will carry on as it always has - though the quantity and frequency of new content will surely decrease.

Just downloaded some DRM videos using OF DL and getting keys using android studio. Followed the tutorial on this site and it was a pain in the ass to set up but it works. There has to be an easier way though you shouldnt have to feel like a goddam hacker just because you want to download porn that you paid for. Im leaking all of their shit out of spite.

I've only seen one video today with this, uptake doesn't seem that widespread yet. Wonder how long it'll take majority of creators to catch on.

I'm sure there are or will be workarounds, but OF having laughable/borderline nonexistent protections was fun while it lasted. Likely that this signals the end of my video archiving days

I would suggest quitting onlyscams in protest but that will fall on deaf ears as the kind of people who didn't know how to rip anything from the source will just continue on completely oblivious.
This kind of user hostility should otherwise have killed the site given no other porn sites bothered to implement widevine.

No idea why anyone thinks this is trivial to circumvent. I'm yet to see this particular implementation circumvented. I can see models are encouraging one another to delete everything from their vaults and reuploading again to take full advantage of this.

Unless a trivial workaround emerges relatively soon from the likes of digitalcriminal, I am done with paying anything to this member hostile scam that is onlyfans.

I'll just fall back and observe how things pan out over the next week or so. But either way, I wont fret or fuss about these new developments. BTW, it seems Fansly has enabled that feature as well, across the board. It is what it is. I have no problem saving my money and unsubscribing from both OF and Fansly. Wow... OF finds a way to benefit the creator at the customer's expense yet again. God forbid you should actually want to KEEP what you pay for.

Honestly, it's the smugness and the nerve of these creators for me. I thought the constant spamming and overpriced content was horrible, but this... I'll bet a lot of them are perfectly okay with these shady tactics. It's disgusting.

Now I still don't know a lot about the DRM protection, but it seems it will make it more difficult to download or save what you buy, and that's always been my BIGGEST problem with Onlyfans: What do they have against downloading? This is like going to the store, buying something and then only being able to use it in store. Or more like renting a movie, as long as you watch it in the store.

I was already starting to become turned off by OF and the creators on it because of the way they do business, but now I may just end up deleting my OF account.

TL;DR - I think you are underestimating how many normies pay for OF subs without even saving content. Thanks to streaming companies, consumers have already been taught that consistent access = monthly subscription

Look, I'm trying to be impartial here. All of us on this website have a biased POV. There are some of us who are purchasing content and leaking it and those who are lurking and downloading. If I was an OF creator, I would find this forum (and others) and I would see the views on a shared gofile, some of which are 30,000+ views, and it would trigger the shit out of me. How many of the X thousands WOULD have purchased? If it's more than 1, then they are for DRM. Think about it... 1 person leaked for thousands to consume. What difference is it to them (the OF Creator) to DRM all content so that 1 leaker either can't do it or has a lot harder time. At the very least, the source quality is gated.

I imagine OF Creators are fine losing 10, 20, maybe even 50% of their audience in order to protect their content because LONG TERM they can keep selling the same old shit to new fans. Amira West comes to mind... she made a killing but left pretty quickly and said all her content ends up online for free. I can't even argue "free publicity" for the OF Creators because these thots gain attention now via TikTok, Reddit, Twitter, etc... where they are showing just enough to continue gaining new fans. I can't tell you how many times I'm scrolling tiktok and some big tittied thot is on LIVE and I google her and sure enough there's an OF. It would be easy to sub from there to see it all (especially if i'm a depraved simp). This site could become a (cherished) relic in the face of DRM until it's cracked.

Anyone of us coming here to this site is already a degenerate pirate and they (the OF creators) don't care about our tears (or our threats to unsub). It's just a numbers game, and IMO the number of us moochers here don't add up to the number of normies willing to pay for subs. I don't think it will hurt them long term and it's here to stay.

I get that and understand and respect trying to be more impartial and devil's advocate here. From my personal side, it's less to do with finding and providing leaks. I have two reasons:
1. I like having a stable offline copy of content I paid for because the site is unreliable.
2. I like having a stable offline copy of content that a creator had on their page for the subscription price before they decide to roll it back and monetize old content further.
