slight off topic, but does Fansly have DRM too? Could we still download videos off of fansly? (if we did?) asking bc I’m not a computer/tech savy guy
I've been trying to record through OBS on Firefox and the video always seems to want to freeze about 40 seconds in. The audio keeps playing normally though. So I toggled to 720p instead of Original and I stopped encountering that freeze. The screen recording worked perfectly.
Switching to 720p did fix the video freeze problem for me, but the recording still comes out with the blocked gray bar over the video source interestingly. On Mac, using the current OBS (standard settings) and firefox as browser with hardware acceleration disabled (unsure if necessary with firefox). Is there anything I'm missing to get screen recording to work?
Okay....has ANY of these methods ACTUALLY WORKED on Mobile (Android).
I only ask because I Can't find anyone to SELL me OF vids, so I figured I would try to rip them instead. But before I invest an entire Day (or Eight) trying to figure this out. I would like to know has anyone tried these methods on MOBILE (Android) and if it ACTUALLY WORKED.

Samsung built in recorder worked for me when recording DRM vids via aloha browser fine, just a pain in the ass
So just an inquiry, but I would assume lots of creators will lose subs, since I like to download vids and pics. I only follow 2 accounts primarily and both have DRM now, I cant see myself staying unless they shut off.
One of the models I follow she's got a discussion thread going as many people have been telling her about her videos not playing, buffering, or only wanting to play on the lowest resolution. Things of which weren't happening before she turned on DRM. I anticipate she's going to turn it off. I've also been surprised that some of the models who constantly sell bundles, and shit haven't turned on DRM. So they obviously know they were selling videos probably even more on OF than other places and that subscribers were downloading them. But, they'd rather keep that train going then to worry about leaks.
Overall the DRM thing still sucks, but hopefully more models turn it off over the backlash from subscribers.
Yeah this sucks, i guess this finally gives me a reason to stop spending money on Onlyfans. Sucks knowing i cant download videos of what is going to be added until my subs run out.
I ordered a custom, and she put an DRM in , I was able to convince her to send it again with no DRM , In the meantime before she sent the no DRM version. I tested with my version of OBS and I was able to record the DRM version with no issues. The python method I was not able to use it because I needed windows 8.1 minimum (I'm still on windows 7) I was lucky for this one

For those of you who have confronted creators about DRM videos, how are you going about it? And what kind of responses are you getting?
Like are you being direct and just saying something like “I noticed you enabled DRM so I’ll be cancelling my sub unless you disable it” or maybe a little more discreet like “hey for some reason I can’t get any new videos to load. Is the something new that’s enabled on your videos that might be causing this issue?” Have any of you bluntly told them that the main issue is the inablilty to download videos?
And also wondering what kind of responses you’ve been getting. I’m sure many don’t give a fuck. But are some acknowledging that this is gonna cost them subs and deciding to turn it off? Are some maybe resending customs or ppvs with it turned off? Are some replying with rude or nasty messages? Interested to here what you guy’s experience has been

It depends.
So far, I haven't bluntly told most creators that I'm going to un-subscribe because DRM won't let me download a personal copy. I've rather subtly told them that it affects the quality and loading at higher resolutions (which is still very true) and that I'm not comfortable paying for less reliable/quality content. Those creators have thus far said they *understand* but feel this is a technical issue on my end, not theirs. So your mileage may vary.
On the other hand, there are a couple creators I've become pretty open, loyal and honest with and have ordered customs. If they ever turn on DRM without providing me a downloadable version, I'll just flat out tell them I'm taking my money elsewhere. To some degree, I think those types of creators are more likely to listen.
I had a conversation with one that switched drm on. I basically played dumb and said I cant watch the two ppv I just unlocked on my laptop and the play back is poor on my phone.
Obviously I know why (the playback on laptop was bs) I then messaged again 10mins later saying oh I googled it and its because of this drm thing, have you got it on?
They read both messages at once and was like oh its because people steal my content and share it about and thats not on.
I said but what about the fact I cant watch it in the way I wanted too? She said oh think its because your laptops old (mines isnt and I cant watch the drm on it) she said email OF and they will probably come up with an update at some point.
I think the point is most are short sited on this drm thing. With money (jurys out on if they make as much as they say) and Internet fame comes arrogance and alot just seem to think fuck the user, I guess they see the leaks as lost sales
Might be an assumption but doubt alot are particularly business minded or academics otherwise they wouldn't be on OF selling sex tapes so to bite the hand that feeds you like drm is, personally I think is short slighted.
They can still thrash the older content buy will the sales of new drm enabled content going to drop off?
In an already saturated market (hard to find a girl on ista now without a 'link in bio') some maybe forced to switch it back off. I know Ive hardly bought anything since it was launched.
I got different feedback. I confronted a couple of them and mostly they played dump and blamed me.
All of them brought up the fact they want to protect their content but two of them actually switched it off.
I told them that you cannot enjoy the content in the usual way but they said it doesn’t matter to them more or less. I think the only way is to boycott them and hopefully many others will too. Money is the only argument which will change their mind…
I was direct. I told my last 2 subs that I'm not renewing if DRM stays enabled. One left me on read, never replied. The other asked me questions, almost like an exit survey. I told her that I'm not buying any more content if I can't download it. She replied saying "but leaks, blah blah blah, it's for my protection, blah blah blah", etc. I tried explaining all of the cons of DRM but then gave up when I realized that I just don't give a fuck anymore.
To hell with these scamming thots, and to hell with OnlyFans, the worst thing to happen to amateur porn, ever.
TL;DR - I think you are underestimating how many normies pay for OF subs without even saving content. Thanks to streaming companies, consumers have already been taught that consistent access = monthly subscription
Look, I'm trying to be impartial here. All of us on this website have a biased POV. There are some of us who are purchasing content and leaking it and those who are lurking and downloading. If I was an OF creator, I would find this forum (and others) and I would see the views on a shared gofile, some of which are 30,000+ views, and it would trigger the shit out of me. How many of the X thousands WOULD have purchased? If it's more than 1, then they are for DRM. Think about it... 1 person leaked for thousands to consume. What difference is it to them (the OF Creator) to DRM all content so that 1 leaker either can't do it or has a lot harder time. At the very least, the source quality is gated.
I imagine OF Creators are fine losing 10, 20, maybe even 50% of their audience in order to protect their content because LONG TERM they can keep selling the same old shit to new fans. Amira West comes to mind... she made a killing but left pretty quickly and said all her content ends up online for free. I can't even argue "free publicity" for the OF Creators because these thots gain attention now via TikTok, Reddit, Twitter, etc... where they are showing just enough to continue gaining new fans. I can't tell you how many times I'm scrolling tiktok and some big tittied thot is on LIVE and I google her and sure enough there's an OF. It would be easy to sub from there to see it all (especially if i'm a depraved simp). This site could become a (cherished) relic in the face of DRM until it's cracked.
Anyone of us coming here to this site is already a degenerate pirate and they (the OF creators) don't care about our tears (or our threats to unsub). It's just a numbers game, and IMO the number of us moochers here don't add up to the number of normies willing to pay for subs. I don't think it will hurt them long term and it's here to stay.
On the plus side, with less OF leaks, I might be able to do something about my porn addiction 🥺

Also DRM doesn't completely shut down leaks and protect their content like they are after. Sure the right click easy option is off the table for now until those more knowledge find a user friendly way...or give up. So it massively reduces the leaks for now.
Ive got two drm vids and have screen recorded no problem on my phone. The play back quality is ok, however sound isnt the best. Would I do it regularly? Naa too much of a faff and to be honest drm is a good excuse to bin off onlyfans.
But should you really want to leak drm vids, you could still do it currently all be it at a reduced quality.
