I’m surprised at the person who bought that video and decided to only share a few seconds of it and not the full thing. Very odd.

Using that analogy then she's still 'driving dangerously' by reverting back to exactly what she used to do. In that video she was saying she's disgusted in herself that she's been dishonest about herself and regrets being used as a comparison to other women, and then goes straight back to posting the same content as before. If it was some wake-up call to people about the reality of social media then surely she'd take her remorse into consideration afterwards but obviously not. You could take out that apology section from her timeline and it'd be like nothing happened before and after.

She made it out to be some turning point moment for her but there's been no change (maybe reducing the filters a little). My guess is she's realised that her income would dwindle if she changed and she's stuck to it regardless of whatever remorse she claimed to have.

You can have a car accident without driving dangerously but whatever.
She mostly said that she's not a "real person" she's a fantasized caracter men shouldn't idealize. She's not as perfect as pics are showing. She regret all the things she'd to do to be her online self etc etc
Yet why would she stop? it's her job to make guys (and maybe women) fantasize about her.
If you want another example does bankers regret signing loans to people knowing some months later they'd come for their house because they can't pay? no it's their job and they'll keep doing it

You can use any of your analogies for any job you want and the outcome will still be the same. Putting an apology video out and then going back to doing the exact thing you feel terrible for is still weird whatever way you put it.

I don't think it's weird. You gotta balance your ethical stands with your pocketbook sometimes, especially if the way you make money is antithetical to what you believe.

She's got a platform and is able to speak out. But she also needs to be able to afford next months rent. It sucks, but sometimes you have to do something you hate to make money.

Because being an Instagram model is the only job she can possibly do, right? :pauseChamp:

She's clearly got a good income from all this and realised she doesn't want to lose it. Does that make her a bad person? No, but it's cringe to make a video 'speaking out' about all those issues and then go straight back to doing them. If you like all that then you do you, but it's not a good look.

In case you just got out of ya cave world is made of situations like that. Especially with public persons (stars, politics, influencers...).
"save earth please!" then go back driving a sports car.
"eat more vegetables" after eating a burger in a chain fastfood
"polution is dangerous" yet you change phones clothes furniture while yours aren't damaged
"Don't do surgery or hide your true self behind filters" while being an insta thot

Yes, and every one of those situations are hypocritical and cringeworthy. Just because hypocrisy is common in places doesn't mean it should be acceptable. The only reason it's part of 'the world' is because you're not questioning any of it.

She's cringe, end of. If you want to normalise her weird behaviour then go ahead. shh
