We don't want to leave litter like this in threads. Most people will never re-upload their files even if you notify them about it so it makes much more sense to delete them.
Makes sense, but I think if mods could at least reference what the post was about on the reason it would be fine already. I can't speak for others, but I have no problems reupping my files as long as I know which of them was removed.
This is not really possible, because it would require us to delete each post one by one, adding a separate reason each time. This is way too much work compared to the bulk deletions we do to all dead gofile posts at once for example, and in that case we can just enter a generic message about dead links that is sent to all recipients.
