Redgifs should be banned from the site.
I was recently thinking of using my Saint.to account to upload gifs and short clips for discussion purposes instead of redgifs. My only complaint with Saint so far is that I can't find out how to delete or rename empty folders I made (maybe I can't)agree with this especially since they have removed the ability to easily download the video file from embeds or from their site. also it's really annoying when there are like 4-5 redgifs embeds and they are all autoplaying.
This is good advice, and some people might not know about it. Heck, some people might not know a lot at all, like how to do things, how to do things "safely", how not to get caught, how not to fuck it up for the others.LMAO
I'm subbed to another creator who was recently site ripped on kemono - all file links were shut down within a few hours.
There's a comment on her feed that is very interesting about how easy it is to trace a leaker to Kemono with patreon's assistance.
So just an FYI for anyone who has created a Kemono.
Understand exactly what the implications are of exporting your patreon session id into Kemono and understand the scrape is going through your patreon user account.
Jojo was also Kemono'ed the first week she started her Patreon.
It's also one of the reasons she switched to Sprout instead of Vmeo.
(Which just goes to show, amateur pirates screw over cautious careful pirates all the time)
My advice for pirates who don't want to get caught and blocked from Patreon or OF
1. Never ever have a username or email username on Patreon or OF that is the same as your username here
2. Never ever make comments on Patreon or OF if you post comments here - stylometry is real
3. Never post a zero day release from smaller creators, wait until you know there have been at least two dozen PPV's purchased.
4. And, never never never post a custom video unless you are severely r-tarded.
If the latter post is source quality and the first is not then yes the first would be deleted, see this rule:I started thinking about this situation. There are posts in threads with single photos, but then someone posts a full set of photos in good quality and these previous posts become meaningless. Shouldn't I delete them, but keep the number of likes if the guys were farming on these posts? LOL I'll give an example
as you can see in the photo, this becomes an unnecessary post. From the point of view of the forum, in my opinion, there is no point in storing unnecessary posts. It often happens that for one full set there are several posts with single photos
Posts with low quality content (screenshots, screen recordings, compressed files etc.) will be removed and all reactions lost when higher quality (source quality) versions of the files have been posted. An exception being 1080p, 4K and VR versions of videos, all of which are allowed in the same thread. Note: Upscaled/enhanced content does not count as higher quality and is considered reposting.
I like it but dont think people will and would add a load more work on the staff to deal with. The upstore request thread is incredible (and very much appreciated). It currently states "Include the models name or file name in your post". However, some requests only include file names, which can be an abbreviation of the actual model name e.g. "Liliemfc" appeared as "lilie" recently. Can this rule be changed to something like "always include the performer's full camsite name or names in each request" and moderated accordingly? This would make the uploads visible in forum searches and let more folk benefit from the work the thread involves.
Maybe it's just me, but any request I make needs moderator approval first. If this applies to them all, only posts that include the model's name get approved? (folk would learn pretty darn quick)I like it but dont think people will and would add a load more work on the staff to deal with.
I think whoever is fulfilling the requests or failing that whoever requested the content should post the fulfilled link in the models thread so that more is gained from the time and effort spent uploading it. Its also extra likes for whoever posts it.
Right now its just a quick glance is this upstore link being posted in the upstore thread, if it is then approve, if it isnt then reject. Doing more takes longer.Maybe it's just me, but any request I make needs moderator approval first. If this applies to them all, only posts that include the model's name get approved? Has anyone else been having issues with the "Mark Read" function on the notifications? If I hit "Mark Read" on the bottom of the drop down list underneath the bell it does nothing. But if I hit mark read on each individual notification, it will work. If I go to "Show All", and hit either mark read at the top, or select the checkmark (selecting all the notifications) and then hit mark read - It also does nothing. In both cases, I need to manually mark each notification as read.
Edit: I typically use the site while on mobile. Don't know if that changes anything, but figured I'd add that.
5. I can't mark all alerts as read.
There is a bug with the latest version of the alerts addon we use which was installed to help resolve issues with users not getting alerts.
There is a workaround whereby you go directly to the 'Mark all alerts read' page which you can get to with a right click / long press of the button in the drop down and open in a new tab, or here https://simpcity.su/account/alerts/mark-read which does work.
