Question How to Download Recurbate Videos

This is working like a charm for the past few weeks. You can even edit TS or mp4 videos using "avidemux" to keep just the relevant part of the show.
Now IDM is only accepting one connection per file, so I'm stuck with 1/2 Mbps. To compensate this, you can start multiples downloads using VPN to bypass the daily limit. First, start the 1st download on IDM, then change the location to a different country and start a new download for a different video. Once the 2nd download start you can now resume the 1st download on IDM and both will be completed even without the VPN active. You just need the VPN active to get each link to IDM.
If you are using the 3 days trial, it's easier then all that...
This is what I did:
With jdownloader2 method, create a free account on recu.me. select the recurbate account in jdownloader settings, set email as username, paste cookie data as password*
I used firefox extension "flagcookies" to obtain cookie data. while on recu page open the flagcookies ext and select preferences, then click "export cookie data to clipboard" - paste this into the password field as mentioned before.
That's pretty much it, it'll stop working after a several days or weeks when the cookies expire, I had to clear cookie/site data for recu, log out and back in and then copy cookie data via flagcookies again for password for it to work once more.
So I go to Account Manager in the jdownloader settings and choose "recurbate.me"
Then put in my account name and for the password I put in the exported cookie data from the browser extension
After following these steps, how do you actually download recu videos on jdownloader? When I paste the recu video URL into jdownloader linkgrabber it just generates a bunch of small size files that are only a few KB. How do I get the actual video file with this method?
When I tried this method before, it would only save a small 1 minute clip as the mp4 file
Now after pausing the recu video player after pressing the play button, and just waiting a second before starting the download, it actually works and starts downloading the entire file
I've got a link similar to a hidden video like that one but when i try to download it with jdownloader it keeps telling me host problem... any help?
in jdownloader:
-go to settings
-then account manager
-click on "+add"
-search for recurbate.me plugin and select it
-under "name" enter your email address you signed your recurbate account with
-under "pass" enter your cookie data you got from your browser while logged in to recurbate
-enter
-right click on your recurbate entry and click refresh
-now you should be able to add your recurbate link for the video

Not account name. Use your email. Copy the url of the file NOT THE M3U8 url.
Yeah, that's what I was trying to do. Login to recurbate, play a video and copying the link via VDH or developer tools. But it doesn't work for some reason. IDK if it's because FFMPEG is not "correctly" installed or something (I have the last stable update from November, and also the current version of YT-DP) but I never had problems downloading shows directly from chaturbate with YT-DL, and I've been doing it since around 2019.
well the error is see there is from the URL not being in quotations
i just copy the page url and jdownloader finds the video
You're right, IDM doesn't encode recu videos as well when it converts from HLS to mp4. jdownloader method generates a download for the actual source mp4 file

It doesn't work either. All the 'expires', 'origin', 'mid', etc, don't appear anymore with quotations marks. But the "[generic] HTTP 404 error" part is still the same.
with that error fixed, the new 404 error is because the website expects the same headers that were used when getting the index.m3u8 url
