I think someone will come up a solution like the tapermonkey thing, just have to give it time. Also could be they will revert back to the old way after doing some work hopefully.
I guess if it would be a smaller/more niche site, no one would be looking in, but RB is the archive for CB content (and wants to make money out of it) - there will be a solution. Routing for the solution kjhl posted on page 19.

Videodownloadhelper for firefox still works for me even without being logged in. I just have to use a vpn to download multiple videos.
then you are somehow a lucky guy because it doesn't work for me. i use firefox and downloadhelper for years but since their "update" it's not working anymore
I have an index file with a .m3u8 extension would this way work since the index has lines with a bunch of .ts files in it.
How? I use the same stuff and it didn't even pop up any media to download either yesterday or today.

Yeah.. might've been outdated? I updated it, might need to try again tomorrow, can't afford a VPN atm.
i updated the app but still doesn't work for me, after a few seconds the download fails or finishes and it only saves a few seconds
But videodownloadhelper shows you media to download? I didn't even get to see one on the tab.
for yt-dlp I think you need to set the right user-agent of your browser and referer. For me this works:
yt-dlp.exe --add-header "User-Agent:Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:120.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/120.0" --referer " " -o "filename.mp4" "https://.m3u8 link"
it does show but now it's like this while before it would look like this , i'm not really an expert on how these things work but i noticed that difference..
I have a dynamic IP so i don't think using a vpn might chance things
Sadly, not working. It starts downloading but after a couple of minutes gets an error.
