Question How to Download Recurbate Videos

The CocoCut downloader for chrome works. Add that extension then go to recurbate. Use VPN, play video you want (you may have to change VPN location a time or two). When video starts playing, click the coconut extension in top right, which will download the video (somewhat slowly)

*make sure you create a free account on recurbate first

Tried that one. Errored after 4%. Not sure if I can resume that one either.

Gotcha, every other option errored around 4-5% for me too..but CocoCut works on my laptop for some reason

If you send some Recurbate links I can download and post them here (before you find something that works for u). Or I guess there’s the request thread too but either way I don’t mind

Thanks a lot for the offer mate, really appreciate it. So far IDM is doing the trick altho speed caps around 1mbps but they do download successfully.

Edit 2 : after 40 minutes of dl, output of 141mb (3m50sec video, i'm so sad haha)

The python script worked for me. I downloaded the m3u8 file using the old tampermonkey script and passed the file as input for the script (I had to adjust the header variables in the script.)

DL was over 1h and about 2.2GB total. File seems fine.

TLDR: I can download as many videos I want as before using free login + VPN + tampermonkey razorwax + python script

1. I'm using Chrome (works for firefox too): Install tampermonkey with script: razorwax - Recurbate download
*. This script used to work downloading mp4 files, but now it only grabs the m3u8
2. if you havent already, download the python script and adjust the headers. https://simpcity.su/threads/recurbate-siezed.204363/post-3189270 . This should be done just one time.
3. connect your vpn and login at rec.me if you havent already. Without VPN you can get download just one video for hours
4. go to the video you want, click on the "download" button added by tampermonkey and grab the m3u8 file
5. put the index.m3u8 file in the same directory as the script
6. Execute the script (ie python3 rec.py)
7. Profit.

clean up: remove index.m3u8 file and rename the output.ts file.

For more videos: start over at (4) with a new VPN IP address.

Thanks idk why but work now, maybe its from the script to dl the m3u8 ?

thanks man. great summary.

i can download vids just fine (just super slow like everyone else) using stream recorder chrome extension. Let's me skip all these steps.

With my internet connection i can download ~5-6 vids at one time (and they not fail). I usually just leave overnight or when at work, come back and their down.
