Feedback Ideas and Suggestions

There is no list of mods, but you can see them around threads like these pretty easy

Custom banners, some have one that says 'simp police', others have 'admin'
Or just the contact us button at the bottom of the page, but dont spam it

simpcity.su/search

the advanced option should be able to filter out whatever specific search you want fullfilled.

to ask for a button for your specific need of trending daily would be a bit much don't ya think?
Maybe, I just think it would be interesting to see what everyone else is viewing the most today

Would it be a bad idea to send an email to all registered users with an email on file that the forum is back up? That way users will come back. I know it's kind of bad to advertise this forum so shouting it out in other forums is not such a good idea. But sending an email to already registered users wouldn't be advertising.

Or just the contact us button at the bottom of the page, but dont spam it

It's probably not possible, but it'd be nice if only comments containing links or attachments would set off alerts. Literally 90% of my alerts are just - anythin new1!? / re-up? / anyone have this? / spam.

EDIT - Or have comments from accounts below ~20pts not set off alerts.

I generally rarely check alerts button (due to volume of notifications), I presume that is the same for most 'Bathwater Drinkers' especially. I feel another button would be appreciated for 'Important Notices' to differentiate between the two. It would display more important notices such as dead link reminder, report comments etc.

You can reduce the number of notifications you receive by turning some of them off such as notifications for reactions which is likely the main cause of having so many

You can still see reactions received here if you wish:

Lurkers have been bumping without content begging and what not. What can we do to enforce coherence to the guideline and content threads? It should be stated that I don’t mind a little bit here and there but it’s starting to wind up.

Please report so that we can take action and if possible expand our spam filter to prevent such posts.
There's 20 staff but also just shy of 4000 posts a day so we can't review everything, reports help direct us to things we miss

Something worse than request spam in a content thread

How was he able to bypass the word filter - I would have thought that word is #1 on the black list?

Make sense to me, but I’m sure your devs can creatively automate some of that away. What’s the tech stack? I’ll contribute some sweat equity. 🫡

Edit - I’ll go ahead and move this thought to suggestions. Cheers
