sometimes it goes to show there's a reason why we have certain rules... in light of some of the actions that some user had done probably due to some kind of post action remorse. I suggest adding at least 1 more intermediate rank/ or requirement between the 200reaction&10 post level and simp council. the point is to tighten the edit time window for low post count users or somehow limit it more to the more obvious contributors the ability to edit. I say this because it's dumb to see a user join, do nothing but bump threads with "any updates?" or "anyone got this?", reaping the post counts. Then when they finally dip their toes into contributing just to suddenly backtrack, and retro actively edit all their posts to remove contributions...

and people wonder why the site has edit time windows in the first place or why you cant remove content from jpg or saint lol

x265 area and x265 allow.

I've had to swallow a lot in the last few days when it comes to my work in this sector.

I've been tinkering in the x265 area for several years. I can say that I understand something about this subject.
The result is options that allow a 4k source (preferred by me) to be converted into a high-quality x265 version (1080p is best and the most used by members).
1. This allows you to save your collection of films to your disk in high quality (space saving). Myself, I have my entire collection (many TBs) on x265.
2. I'm thinking of members who are unable to load huge 4k files. It's hard to believe. There are some countries where internet connection is still charged based on traffic.
2.1. I've seen it based on my very high download rates. That the market (interest) is very large. Example the Hailey Rose series.... was loaded over 100.000 as of yesterday (before I deleted it).

I'm sure many members here will agree that this sector is very interesting.

3. I'll go one point further here. I would agree to act as a moderator in this area.

This means, I promise you, that your forum will be even more popular.

Another possible idea is that you have to get permission from the OP to re-encode. There are some releasers among you here.
I was too and offered a few things here just for the forum. I'm too old for that pressure now and I'm mostly concentrating on x265.
In order not to appear misleading. By "releasers" I mean members without commercial ulterior motives who use their opportunities to provide first releases for the forum.

I hope this idea isn't discarded after just a few minutes. I would be happy if this idea was discussed objectively.

I have as well. Here are my two cents. Please don't swallow my two cents, merely view them:

In a nutshell: I, for one, speak for those that want the highest quality possible to be offered, not compromised quality. Saving space is my job, not the uploader's. H.265 is lower quality. So, why create an entire sub-forum for lower quality?

My experience?
After using Movavi software and its encoders for over 5 years now, I have become familiar with the differences between H.265 & H.264, particularly in the use of 1080p resolution. I can say definitively that H.265's only positive attribute is file size. It is a highly unstable codec to edit (unless one uses Davinci software exclusively) & upon hyper-zoom-in, it "shreds" pixel contrast drastically. In other words, H.265 is actually less quality than original source 1080p based in the H.264 codec.

A great alternative to save equivalent space is to "compress" using an H.264 High@L4 4x4x4 profile which uses AI to simulate adjoining pixels at the rate of typical H.265, but without the instability. In fact, from my extensive downloading these past few years, I have found when using my editing software more and more studios are churning out compressed content using H.264 "compression" models to save space.

There are some leak sites based solely in H.265 I peruse when I am hunting for content and I only choose their H.265 DL options when I have no intention to ever edit that video yet gain the added benefit of a space-saving file. Otherwise, I choose H.264 versions all the time, every time - for the video quality. To reiterate, I want the highest quality possible content to be offered, not compromised quality. H.265 is lower quality. Why create an entire sub-forum for lower quality?

When posting XXX scenes you should have to state if the video is the 720p 1080p or 4k version

My monitor is a 43" LG flat screen I hate downloading a 1.4gb to 2.0 video to find out it is the 720p version I do not want to see a video on my monitor that is 30% to 40% bigger than a credit card.

First time user, so not sure whether this is the right place for this. A suggestion for XXX Premium site content/requests would be perfectgonzo.com, but there is not currently a thread. Think the network might be defunct now, hence why an active thread may not be running.
