thats the thing this stuff is not even that deep, its basic shit
if something was filmed in 4:3 and your remaster ends up something else, thats not deep tech knowledge, thats a basic fuck up
and you dont have to see it, you can even put a ruler on your monitor measure width and height of the video and if you dont get 4:3 well you fucked it up

about AI upscales, maybe im a purist but I prefer they just get the best possible transfer of the source they can and then release that.
then afterwards they can do an AI upscale or whatever, or somebody else can do it. But dont just release your own shitty AI upscale and sit on the source.
Many sites have a much higher quality source available which wasnt released. like Heather Harmons old stuff on ideepthroat.com was filmed on miniDV. The reason they released in such short shitty quality is because many of their members all had slow dial up connections so they deliberately cut down the quality and length to potato quality
