Back in the 2000s FTV quality was top 3 worst you could have a low quality you could see how low quality video where you could see all the blocky pixels in the video S M H. 720p video 1k bitrate and the first 1 1/2 year of rolling with 1080p videos were 2k to 3k bitrate at the same time Brazzer 1080p was 11k to 12k bitrate. Brazzer for the last 3 year or so has the worst video quality of all studios 4k videos are 9k to 12k bitrate W T F just awful. Brazzers should switch to 1440p H265 3.5gb to 4gb size these videos would look so much better.

SD and 720p need to go away like 50 years ago here is what I recommend studio should be rolling with

900p 9k to 10500 bitrate

1080p 11k to 12500 bitrate

1440p 18500 to 22k birate

4k is really not needed if you do go with it 26k to 28k birate

All videos should be H265.

Top 7 to 10 studios like Evil Angel,Bangbros, Julesjordan Brazzers,Pornpros,Mofos,Hardx,Elegant Angel should take their top 150 to 200 scenes and upscale them to 1440p with Topaz Video AI and run 1 or 2 pass they will get good results with these videos.

why the fuck are directors so afraid of real things happening during a scene? It's part of the reason why studio porn is complete bullshit. I was watching this faye reagan interview where she said the first time she ever squirted was in a scene where she was on a white couch with her legs in the back of her head and that the director got mad at her for getting pussy juice on the couch. So I managed to find the scene and the dumbass director cut the squirt out. Yep, I recently vented about this same shit in another post here. It's bad enough when idiots who don't know what they're doing ripping or converting movies do this... but studios themselves putting out such trash? Un-fucking-acceptable. NewSensations or one of em has been putting out herky jerky unsmooth playback for YEARS. And the OnlyFans junk is bad about doing this as well, shocker, with their cell phone propped on a dresser across a shitty hotel room nonsense "content."

Rule of thumb should always be, NEVER MESS WITH THE FRAMES PER SECOND! Period. Keep it the same as the source, always. Otherwise you're gonna fuck it up and it's gonna look like garbage. It's also why I avoid tube sites such as PornTrex and HQPorner, who, instead of adjusting the bitrate, weirdly drop a frame instead like that's going to do anything positive. So instead of 30 fps their output will be 29 fps. 23 instead of 24. And then you gotta watch a hitch in the video every goddamn second. All of my WHY?!

They simply don't know what they're doing. Now, I'm not saying all random posters on tube sites who upload "AI Upscales" know what they're doing, because some if not most of em clearly don't and will have the faces morphing like you've just been hit with scarecrow serum in Gotham City. But some random pervs on f0rums clearly DO know what they're doing. Because I've seen plenty of SD era upscales that look great. Lauren Phoenix, Sasha Grey, etc. I don't generally dig 60fps but even the ones that do that usually do a good enough job... compared to the official "remasters" anyway. And since the companies clearly don't know what they're doing, their first mistake is usually abandoning the original 4:3 aspect ratio. If you're gonna fuck up the clarity and FPS, please don't make it a triple threat error and fuck up a zoomed in cropped aspect ratio on top of it. Just leave it the old school box look, all the best upscales I've seen always leave well enough alone in that regard. Any BB or ZZ "remaster" I've ever seen looked like complete and utter garbage, meanwhile CorvetteGuy420 over on RandomPornForumDotNet knocks it out of the park, lmao

I really admire folks with the technical know how, or at least awareness, to have these types of gripes, let alone articulate them.

I have neither, lol. I just know a scene doesn't "look" good for my tastes and move on.

Like if I see a scene from a few decades ago, and like the color is off, or looks grainy, I'm like... "eh I wish it didn't have those artifacts, and won't add it to my collection"

If possible, and you def don't have too, but could you post examples of some of these gripes like bitrate or aspect ratio. Like I know what the terms mean on a high level, but whether or not they are the cause of my "gut reaction" being put off from a scene... id be interested to find out.
