Guide Forum Post Downloader - Tampermonkey Script

Introduction​

This script can download the contents of many posts on the forum including locally hosted attachments and files on some external hosts such as jpg.church, pixl, cyberdrop, bunkr, pixeldrain and others.

The script adds a download button alongside every post and a download all button at the top of every page which will download every post on the page.

Installation​

- Install the tampermonkey extension

- Click on the icon up near the web address bar (1) (you may have to click the puzzle piece to see it if its hidden) and then select 'Create a new script...' (2)

- Paste in the latest version of the script

into the editor field overwriting the default template

- Select File then Save

​

- Go to settings (1), change 'Config mode' to 'Advanced' (2)

- Then scroll down to 'Downloads BETA' (1) and change the option to 'Browser API' (2)

You should then see a download button alongside every post and at the top of every thread on the forum (you need to refresh any open tabs after installing), just hit the download button and the tool will download all media it can from the post/thread.

Weird Zip Names​

If zips download with a weird filename i.e. f81dfbdc-eb8b-4b37-8bb5-5100d498e2f6.zip then you should disable any download managers such as downthemall, free download manager etc., refresh the page and try again

I've been trying to get it to work in Kiwi Browser on mobile, does it work?

I did some digging in the data file because it wasnt indicating was downloading but no in app notifications or results in my downloads folder, it is downloading into the data file but it is downloading as a bin file not a zip

Figured out what was going on, had to turn off ask where and when to save file setting.

I'm noticing that a lot of times, when downloading from bunkrr.su, most of the pics are not actually being downloaded, maybe would be possible to make some kind of check to make sure that the content was actually downloaded?

Default Downloads Folder as per Chrome Settings.
Chrome(ium) won't let an extension overwrite this (unless you have it set to ask each time)

What I use is another extension called Downloads Router, and some Symlinks in Windows to route .zip files to a symlinked folder.

this might be already answered so I apologized if it is, tried skimming through the pages but I didn't saw anything related to it.
Is it possible to download it straight as an img? not zipped, I'm having a problem wherein when I'm extracting it some are corrupted or something where it says the format isn't supported (.jpg) but I literally have other imgs that are fine that are .jpg. It says "It appears that we don't support this format" thoughts?

Think this'll be a problem with jpgchurch and the file not actually downloading as I have this from time to time and the file that has downloaded is only about 5kb

Having a slight issue right now with the downloader. Trying to download posts from the Choi Ji Yun thread. As an example 84 through 87. 84, 85 and 86 get stuck on 2/X and 87 Downloads instantly but the ZIP only has the image for crawling from SimpCity. Never happened before. This same issue happens in any thread I've checked.

I'm assuming it's because my version is 2.0 instead of 2.2.7, however the link

The bunkrr.su problem is still not fixed, when downloading manually I noticed when trying to download 2 files simultaneously, the second file can't be downloaded and the website will give you a 403 too many request page. Only when the first file has finished downloading then I can proceed.

I guess bunkrr.su has some mechanics to limit the session a user can download stuff to only once at a time. If we can pass this check or just try to download the stuff one by one only on this site, the problem can be solved.

I think it's just the website limiting max transferring sessions to 1 file at a time. I believe the script is trying to download multiple files at the same time, so only 1 file can be downloaded and the website will return the download request of the other files as a 403 error, thus all these empty files from bunkr.

Only until the first file finished downloading, then the website will allow the script to actually download another file, while all these files it previously tried to download but got refused with 403 errors are counted as completed and therefore ignored and remains empty.

Or it could be the bunkr server for media-files12 being .la instead of .ru

When it downloads redgifs videos (assuming this goes for gfycat ones too), it will download the -mobile.mp4. Is there any chance you could make it to where it always downloads the normal one? Like that it auto removes the "-mobile" part from the download link for redgifs/gfycat?

XenForoPostDownloader == 2.2.9 Violentmonkey == 2.13.9
When selecting a post to download, it will run through getting all the posts and "likes" the post but i never get a zip file produced.
Any help?

Sorry for the delay with this update, I wanted to get it out sooner but other things got in the way, there's still open issues listed below but things like bunkrr.su support needed releasing

Fixed

• postimg.cc, pixxxels.cc and imagevenue support added
• cdn12.bunkrr.su support added
• Minor regex fix so images that start IMG are now scraped
• Some kemono.party support added, direct image/file links only

Known Bugs

• Some have reported a bunkr issue not downloading all, probably rate limiting related, I haven't encountered it and bunkr have changed their rate limits since issue reported, please provide posts with the issue below if this is still an issue
• redgifs not downloading HD, I dont know how to fix this its not a simple regex replace like it used to be since redgifs added tokens and IP address stuff,

• Doesn't download attachments not inserted into post, the script only parses the message content area and not the attachments field below as of now
• Incomplete cyberdrop support
• ibb albums - downloads low res

Future Enhancements?

• pixxxels / postimg gallery

I got the same issue as Anon_Aus even on the latest version.
In console.log I get the following output after "LINKS GENERATION COMPLETED"
"Error downloading the requested post. There may be more details below."

FYI, I dont have much time to support this and I'm not that good at javascript so supporting multiple script managers is beyond what I can really do tbh.
