Guide Forum Post Downloader - Tampermonkey Script

Introduction​

This script can download the contents of many posts on the forum including locally hosted attachments and files on some external hosts such as jpg.church, pixl, cyberdrop, bunkr, pixeldrain and others.

The script adds a download button alongside every post and a download all button at the top of every page which will download every post on the page.

Installation​

- Install the tampermonkey extension

- Click on the icon up near the web address bar (1) (you may have to click the puzzle piece to see it if its hidden) and then select 'Create a new script...' (2)

- Paste in the latest version of the script

into the editor field overwriting the default template

- Select File then Save

​

- Go to settings (1), change 'Config mode' to 'Advanced' (2)

​

- Then scroll down to 'Downloads BETA' (1) and change the option to 'Browser API' (2)

You should then see a download button alongside every post and at the top of every thread on the forum (you need to refresh any open tabs after installing), just hit the download button and the tool will download all media it can from the post/thread.

Weird Zip Names​

If zips download with a weird filename i.e. f81dfbdc-eb8b-4b37-8bb5-5100d498e2f6.zip then you should disable any download managers such as downthemall, free download manager etc., refresh the page and try again

Working fine for me on Chrome. What's the album size? I am not sure but zipping might be failing because of how much zipjs is allowed to process / compress. Try again by turning off the zipped option. This will write to the target folder as soon as the file is done.

I think the slower speed is related to the update to only download 2 at a time to avoid failed bunkr uploads. This and a slow church means 2 at a time can take a while. I'm hoping the church issue is resolved soon and then this wont be an issue anymore

#2: All valid Bunkr and GoFile links should now have a spoiler just below the link that displays files and album stats.

For Bunkr, if you have

or a similar extension installed, you can simply hover the thumbnails to view the images or videos.
For GoFile, cors restrictions are in place so you can't view any file in-place but they are still listed.

Clicking on a link will start downloading the file.

I hope I can explain my problem correctly. I use the XenForoPostDownloader script that adds a download button to every post. However, I can't use the script to download images hosted by postimg.cc that are imbedded in the post. Is there another script that can?

Depends on the pics, church/fish is being heavily rate limited by cloudflare so the servers are being taken off cloudflare. simp6 is done already, not so sure about the others.

If the download started, the script is fine. You'd have to re-download them.

Update the script to at-least v2.3.6. That should default to the zipped downloads.

updated and do not have as many incomplete downloads. I've been able to download the whole page with no errors many times.

is there somewhere in the script I can change the number of retrys?

Also, some folks are posting images with non approved hosts. Do not know off the top of my head what they are. There is only one or two. I will try to add the host to the script and see if it works. I'm only a beginner Tampermonkey user but I can at least get all the scripts working OK.

I'll post the hosts that are not working with the script

It helps if you give examples of the posts with the issues so that we can see what the hosts are and if those posts are causing us issues as well.
