Support Can't enter simpcity.su without VPN

Hello,

I can not connect to simpcity.su without using an VPN for two days now. It works even with the same country I am located but only with VPN. I have just absolutly basic knowledge about network and domains and stuff and don't know whats the problem and how to fix it.

Any hints for me?

Now I'm getting locked out. Getting the "unexpected database error" and before that I was getting a message about my IP being throttled because I was using the site too much when I hadn't even logged on all day. And even then I was only trying to check my watched threads.

For me the site works sometimes, with or without vpn. A mod told me a few weeks back that I should slow my activity if I dont use a vpn, but even if I do, the site doesnt load or takes a lot of time and refreshing. I dont understand

The slow down thing has to be by design. Maybe the server costs of having 46,000 people online is starting to catch up with them. I seem to be getting the same messages your are. I even got an automated "slow down" message because I opened three threads at the same time.

For me the only thing that works without a vpn is spoofing my user-agent, this site seems to not like my operating system (and maybe even my browser), as soon as I'm on desktop and I try to use the site without spoofing my user-agent I get locked out on my smartphone too, maybe you should try that.

Yeah I think over 2 extra tabs open it triggers the slow down thing, been doing it since they made some changes, like the what's new only having 2 pages instead of 4, they are trying for it to slam the servers, like I get on a couple times a day, open all my watched and log off 5min later, now I'm here for 40min trying to reload pages.

There's a base limit that restricts the number of operations per second / minute but if requests continue to get throttled for a user, then the limit is usually dynamically adjusted based on IP / account email. I've had no problems opening 4-5 tabs at once but did get the slow down message for searching 4-5 times.

Still happening for me, even though the site's supposed to be fixed now. I can usually open up 2-3 links before everything stops loading. Get an error that says "Page could not load". Then I have to use a VPN or wait like an hour to load anything else again.

I have gone through every issue mentioned here-- getting locked out on devices, locked out of various browsers, endless loop of DDoS page, "Page could not load," IP ban for 24 hours.. everything. It all happened during the time the site was dealing with the DDoS attacks.

I settled on Brave Browser's built in Tor function, and it works like a charm. No VPN and none of these problems. I've even maintained the same Tor connection for several days. I must have a close exit node because I experience no slowdowns. You can also use all your plug ins and scripts with that type of Tor (the Brave one has differences than regular Tor). The only problem is Bunkrr and Pixeldrain have slow downloads, but I just open them in a regular tab.

I'm on a Mac if that helps anyone.
