Yes, see THIS is what healthy responses to this topic should be. Over analyzing with "Oh no that pictures 8 years ago, they are divorced now" or "She needs the money and is need it by doing more content." That is not healthy, that's just desperation making excuse for her to come back to fuel your dopamine, despite other many other thots here you can perv over. And for the unfair criticism of judging her husband of his looks, tell me, would it have made you feel any better if her husband looked like Henry Cavill? GFY
The thought of this thread going on more pages of "Will she be back" "She has to come back" "I want her back" is pathetic. Know that dragging this out is not gonna do any goddamn good.

To paraphrase the Judge's final words in the Dahmer series: "There's a temptation to try to know and know definitively WHY? I think there is a real danger there, there are no easy answers when it comes to someone like this, that's an uncomfortable truth to be sure...but it's one you need to accept."

Bruh she last uploaded 3 years ago. It's dead, Jim. Plus there was a mixup between her channel and another one that also was uploading her videos, and apparently this last one didn't belong to her? It's been ages, time to move on I guess.

This kind of comment in particular is one I feel needs to be called out (and for the record, ssfan, I know you were calling it out too). There are more important things in life than money. Did she make a lot of money? Sure. Did it require a lot of work? Wouldn't know. But it's degrading work -- specifically because of comments like the ones people make in this thread. If she needs money, she'll probably get a regular job. Sure, she'd probably make less money, but there's a really high chance that she'd prefer to live a happy, healthy, normal life rather than be wealthy and have the entire world think of her as a skank who licks microphones on camera, and have to deal with unwanted attention. There's a lot of downsides to being an NSFW ASMRtist, especially one as big as she was. If she's a regular human being, I doubt it's worth the money. People have literally looked up her address. I don't want to know what they used that information for.
 
On another aftynrose thread, I made a comment post similar to my other one here, trying to point out to the love sick simps over her that it's not healthy for them anymore. I was trying to help them, pointing out the rational reality of it all, and still...one guy had something to say, which was something like "Wishing her a nice marriage and hopefully fate leads her to divorce."

Now why say something like that huh? WTF? Is that someone basically saying "I hope she gets divorced so she can come back to the OF modeling life to bring new content for my fapping entertainment?" And another guy that went out of his way to research and explain a big paragraph of financial data of why she should come back for financial purposes. You'd think some wakeup call would be enough, but no. Now I know that thread there is just gonna be 20 more pages from now on of desperate simps analyzing false hopes of marriage ending and trying prove why she "has to come back."

Ugh. It's like people don't realize she's capable of getting a real job. Realistically, she probably has a job now... a non-ASMR one.

But yes, what you pointed to -- the extreme parasocial nature of people's relationship with her, and feeling of entitlement to seeing her do more ASMR -- is problematic. At the very least, those people are going to experience a lot of unhappiness if they are that attached to her. It's sad, really.

Dellusion and entitlement, sometimes loneliness can do some nasty things to your head...either that or they just like the drama, to sound smart or are bored, because they don't have much going on in their lives..

It's one thing to hold out hope for a return to the platforms where she may have had content. It is another matter to wish bad things for her or try to meddle in her personal life as if they are owed something.

Nastiness notwithstanding, I think Aftyn handled her exit very poorly. I kept up a bit on her second hiatus to see if there had been any new developments around her return and saw the frequent posts on other forums stating that she had "paused her Patreon AGAIN", leading to a lot of the familiar characters bitching about the lack of progress/new content. Whatever her exact reasons - mental health, doxxing, falling in love and the guy not being OK with what she was doing, getting the bag - she attained a "queen bee"-level status and disappointed a lot of people in disappearing. Anytime money is involved and you piss people off, you're going to bring on a lot of the trouble that comes your way if you're someone like Aftyn.

Subscriptions are essentially a business transaction - it's bad for creators to shortchange customers the monthly/weekly/etc. expectations that the creator defines in advance based on those tiers. And because we don't have easy ways of rating creators the way we do products on a website or businesses through Yelp, people can get easily scammed this way when they make that commitment and the creator continually falls short of the mark. And I don't think it matters if the parent company steps in with refunds, it's a bad look for both them and the creator when they allow someone who can't meet self-defined expectations because of whatever they have going on.

Although Patreon/Onlyfans/Fansly has made it easier for people act as their own business while being on the platform, there's no education qualification or accreditation that they have to possess to be able to have a presence on these platforms unlike real businesses, and that means that these creators can get away with their antics with fewer consequences. And as we're finding out too that in a lot of cases, they can keep the money and the platform may refuse to step in with a refund - this happens with Onlyfans and PPVs/custom content a lot.

TL;DR here is that yes, we're adults and we need to not say nasty things like what ssfan is referencing with other posters on other forums. But if any number of those posters had money riding on Aftyn's content, a percentage of what is being said is on Aftyn for keeping various accounts and websites open attached to her name after all this time. Her departure/exit was sloppy and people have a right to be angry/disappointed while maintaining their civility towards the situation.

It’s really not complicated. As a content creator people are right in the sense that she doesn’t technically owe us anything. That being said, it’s fucked to blue ball the people who gave you an incredible income with the subscriptions they provided. Even one post would make a world of difference. Just say you’re done being a content creator and that’s it. Either commit to being fully retired or don’t. Any kind of transparency would be welcome even if it’s just reaffirming what we already know, and the fact that she hasn’t done that will continue to lead to people speculating and bitching about if/when she’ll return.

Hell, Maimy was stalked and her place broken into and she still is putting out videos and provided updates. And that’s WAY more of a justifiable reason to walk away from what you’re doing and just disappear. Aftyn doesn’t have an excuse.

Aftyn paused her Patreon when she wasn't releasing content. Maimy didn't. Her situations are different though, but if you feel like the wait for anything from Aftyn is agonizing or something like that, then it's a "you" problem I'd say. She either releases stuff or she doesn't and there's that. They aren't the only fishes in the sea, even if this skinemax/softcore porn ASMR seems to be a rarity.

Point of emphasis - I'm not calling for anyone to make trouble for Aftyn - but it would be mighty interesting to report most of her pages to the customer support groups that exist on Patreon and elsewhere to see how they would respond to a page that has active subscribers but no content being churned out. If it's been abandoned, then there's no good reason for it to exist. Or there should be a badge or flag added to that person's pages that state that they haven't been active on the page in X number of months or years to dissuade people from giving her their money at this time.

Patreon was always a clusterfuck. They were a hive for pornographers (not just erocosplay, actual pornography in the form of hentai and pornographic software) yet they kept mistreating the main source of the site (via the mandatory cut). When Onlyfans became an option all the girls who did erotic stuff jumped ship. Artists and game designers are still there, and at one point they hoarded the top most subscribed patreons list.

The girls I used to follow kept complaining about the site being shit and buggy. They recently, as in, last year I think, added an option to allow you to be charged 30 days after you make your initial pledge, instead of being charged the first of every month. That was so fucking ridiculous.

My understanding is that the existence of Onlyfans and Fansly largely came to be because patrons on Patreon wanted to be able to do more sexually explicit content that would be against Patreon's "nudity yes, but in the context of sexuality no" rules. All three platforms are pretty bad and I'm sure Onlyfans/Fansly's BBB pages would be as bad as Patreon's. Also seems like if you want to rouse the attention of support staff at Patreon, lodge a complaint with BBB and take it from there. It's kind of the last step before any sort of legal judgment you might want to try filing against them in court. Note that Onlyfans and Fansly do not have BBB pages and it might be their preference.

People always looking up celebrities addresses so it kind of the same thing. I mean look at ASMRDarling on here. In fact I've posted a lot of stuff on Darling because I got a mad crush on her but that's as far as it goes. I'm stuck on the idea & image of her, I could care less about the real person. If you start trying to get close to these girls for real you crossing a line which for all we know is why Aftyn left, which ruins it for everybody.
