I don’t wanna pull back the curtains for you but unfortunately Glow is still one of the better cases.

But I don’t think any of us here are the type to donate to her.

By 'hair play' I mean she would play with the viewers hair where there's a wig behind the camera. It's in her latest video actually. I like how you and a couple other guys here can give commentary on her instead of just talking about how much you want to smash.

The curtains are definitely getting pulled back for me. Like after watching that stream, it gives me the vibe that she's a cam girl but its SFW. There's no way she doesn't know that her bi-weekly steams are just dudes. It's like those streams are to keep adding fuel to the parasocial relationships these morons have with her.

So the other asmr channel i'm into is Simply Kel. Its a smaller channel at around 350k but it's surprising how many girls are in the comments. So many girls say her videos are like being on facetime, or like with a friend. This honestly makes sense because her videos aren't sexual (no kissing etc...) and there's a mic in between her and the camera on most videos, so not that intimate.

On the other hand, Glows comments are all from dudes. This makes sense because she plays into the male audience and fosters parasocial relationships with her content style. Her videos are up close with mics rarely separating her from the viewer while her videos have intimate sexual themes like eyes of seduction, kissing (recently up close kissing), in bed with me and on my lap videos. That shit is sex work

About a year or so ago, maybe a bit more now, I think after she got the 4K setup going, end of the year, she was talking about how RPs and videos she wants to do don’t get views.
How she was hoping to do more girly content and get more female viewers.
But it’s not working for her so she will just do what her (male) audience wants.
It was in one of her end year streams, don’t remember which one exactly but remember well how she talked openly about all this. It was around the time she did more of the spit painting videos too.

And don’t forget the audience she’s got and still has from her short Twitch period.
She is fully aware it’s mostly guys, she acknowledged it multiple times publicly and I mean as you said, look at her sultry eye fucking thumbnails and angles she uses and types of videos she does.

I wouldn’t say that she isn’t still mostly going for ASMR. Not like other girls who really just try to promote their OF on YouTube.
But it’s also undeniable she’s catering to a male fantasy (when she’s trying to make money and her ego or laziness isn’t winning that day)
In that stream back then she basically said she sees YouTube as just her job now, she is only going for the money.
So she can finance her true passion (which obviously is dependent of the time of month with her, can be candles, writing, drawing, makeup, dancing, 1800 century architecture…who knows at this point) Right now at least it’s writing books.

Occasionally she still tries to go for how ASMR is so helpful for trauma and mental health issues etc.
Basically trying to elevate what she does and making herself feel less as what she actually is, yes I agree for the most part, a cam girl. A sex worker.

In the beginning, his dono comments used to be filled with dudes clowning on him (me being one of them). Fast forward to today, I'm shadowbanned and Asmr Glow is the only one replying to his comments. I'm honestly not saying she's wrong for doing that like its definitely a gray area because he was getting straight up harrassed.

Also @JohnWesker-ep4w said on twitter than he sent her book idea to alot of publishers and she replied back saying it can hurt her process and don't make her regret telling her audience about her book. There's levels to this parasocial shit apparently .

On a side note lets say your girl was an asmr youtuber. Shes started off tame just doing mic tapping and stuff. I'm not donating nor do I watch her stuff beyond an odd video or two here and there, but this mentality that people (dudes, more specifically) are only donating because they want to get with her or get praise is ridiculous. There's nothing about planning a wedding that should stop a reasonable donation.

I do (rarely) donate to (very different) content creators as I appreciate the content they put out -- $50 for hundreds of hours of entertainment is a pretty generous trade to the consumer in my eyes. There's no reason why people couldn't be donating to Glow for the same reason. Maybe not hers, but there are some 15-20 minute ASMR videos that I (and I imagine others too) have listened to hundreds of times. Paying that back in some form isn't that "insane".

When you reach a minimum threshold of fame where it’s easy to look up your username/real name and find other people online discuss you, it’s probably hard not to be curious at first and read everything you can find them saying. If I were famous, that would be one of the first things I do, kinda like a sports athlete getting to see themselves in a video game.

After a while though, I imagine the novelty of it wears off and it becomes easier to focus on negative things people are saying in forums and begin to resent the mostly male forum users. Her issue is, like said above, not only is this niche of us mostly male, but so is her entire audience now. So, does she resent the fact that a lot of her viewers, in her feminist view, are just horndogs clicking on her videos because of her looks? Deep inside it probably makes her sick that her once creative channel has turned into a steady rotation of videos to please the male viewer and generate a steady income. I think this is the root problem that has caused her to branch out into different creative expressions. She is a naturally creative person, debatable on how gifted she is or not, but that’s what brings her joy.

Glow really has no leg to stand on when she knows damn well that the only thing keeping her bills paid is how attractive she is and the very fact that men sexualize her. For as long as I’ve been watching and enjoying Glows ASMR videos now, gotta say, she’s really not the best at it and never was.
She is pretty good, at times great even but that’s more the exception than the norm.
She’s got a real good sense for aesthetics so her stuff always looks very good. As does she.
And that’s been carrying her mid content for years now.
If she wasn’t so damn hot and pretty, with her work ethics, she’d not be at 500K Subs now.

In a way I think she’s kinda too smart to not know that she’s making money by sexualizing herself.

I remember really enjoying her France vlog from some time ago, it was a mix of asmr and irl but she mostly never did any of those dumbgirl quirks. She talks about her anxiety but not in an obnoxious way and feels like a way more grounded person.
