This is the last time i respond to you, because despite other folks basically saying the same thing, that while it might seem a bit much asking for ID is a standard practice, you decided to interject into my conversation... spewing nonsense.
So by your logic, Sex workers are "USUALLY" untrustworthy, got it. Although we weren't specifically talking about any sex worker, but a professional (full-time) pornstar whose side hustle is escorting.
You just said you wouldn't give them your ID... because you dont trust them to make good moral decisions with them....because of their profession.
The industry is ripe with bad apples, or good apples in bad circumstances, sure...SOME of what you're saying here is true. MOST of it however, is based on fear and ignorance. It is obvious you've never dabbled in escorting before. Which is perfectly fine.
Sidebar:...why would you act like a dick? You are paying for someone's time, that doesnt mean you are entitled to them.
Mind you, there is a HUGE distinction between escorting (a legitimate business) and prostitution (which is not)
There are 2 legitimate reasons why someone requests an ID.
1) to prove who you are/look like you say you look
2) to run a surface level background check (that anyone can run for $50-100 with very little information) to see if there are any crimes that could be red flags (gun charges/ domestic violence, abuse etc)
Whenever I have been asked for ID, they SPECIFICALLY asked me to redact my address. In fact, I would be skeptical of any service that didnt have strict protocols like that, because if they dont care about their employees, they sure as hell wont care about me.
REPUTATION is the key term here. Again, fearmongering aside, we aren't talking about just anyone, but clara trinity. I would say despite being young in the business (4yrs or so)She is probably more concerned with her reputation than stealing someones identity.
Your mileage may vary, but thats why its your responsibility to do due diligence, not just pick folks off of craigslist. Investigate the websites, the agencies. Hell there are literal review sites that are the BBB of escort services.
What isnt cool, is to assume a person is going to engage in some sort of illegal/malicious act, solely because of their profession....(while you yourself are engaging in an illegal act)
