The simp council badge is not neccessarily a good thing and sometimes I don't even check a new post on one of my topics if it's made by a simp council member. It's not a measure of post quality just post frequency. Which leads to a certain behaviour that just clogs the board with half assed low effort posts, a single picture set split into 3 posts etc. I personally wouldn't want to reward that as a board administration but it is what it is.

We set a post count as part of the requirement because the reaction score requirement alone can be hit in just a few posts in the more popular threads. We could have upped the reaction score requirement by a lot, but we didn't go that route since it would discourage people from posting in less popular threads and just stick to more popular threads where you can get 200+ likes per post. It does lead to people spamming individual stuff sometimes, but it's the better option of the two and if they do it back to back within a short span you can report it and we'll merge the posts.
