jpg.church is working terribly sometimes. Photos are loading incredibly slow or not loading at all. This does not always happen, just sometimes. But it's very irritating. Does someone know why this is happening?

Jpg.church got a new server yesterday so all new uploads should load in fast. As demand on the other servers reduces over the next week or so the images uploaded to those will load in faster.
Once things have settled, uploads will be distributed amongst the various servers to avoid the recent situation

The storage servers are overloaded at peak times (American afternoon onwards). The owner is fully aware of it and has been switching between servers to try and balance the load. An extra server may be in the works in the future

Same - images take forever to load. Wonder if we should switch to pixl instead for images.

"Force" probably was not the right word.
Point still remains - the server is supporting a shitty service by defaulting to it and from the few times I have tried to post alt imagehosts I had to wait for mod approval - never tried pixl.
when jpg.church isn't working right i usually just upload to pixl.li
It is enabled, I have tested by uploading an image and downloading it, it comes out recompressed.
is there any information on what the problem is with this jpg.church? its gotten so bad that I cant load any pics hardly at all. None of the scrapers work either because it just times out or fails to load anything.
you are not "forced" to use the church in any way.
The buttons are there for the user's convenience but you can sure as hell use pixl or any other imagehost.
This is the better option I would say. Its easy to get pics from, and simple. never had a problem with it not working. jpg.church is really bad lately, all day sometimes where one pic takes 5 minutes to load.
For some reason when you download jpegs, it gives you a recompressed version instead of the original one you uploaded.
Didn't do it before, but now they are spitting out recompressed jpegs.
I upload a 2.24 MB file and I download back a 884 KB file. WTF?!!
