I was on the home tab with dev tools open watching the websockets connection. In another browser tab, I reopened the home tab and saw a new post. No notification on the first tab and the websockets connection was still alive and heartbeating. But it usually doesn't matter which tab I'm on, if the websockets connection is alive, I get the notification.

Want to add that I am having the same issue, seems to be only with wall posts. Just had someone post 2 posts within 20 minutes first post didn't get picked up but second one did. both times had the creator's page open. When the first post was posted there was no notification on home button but second post did so definitely seems like it has to be something happening on Onlyfans' end

Released an update that addresses the issue every has been having. The working hypothesis is that they'll only send the websocket messages to users who have recent activity, regardless of the status of the websocket connection. The latest release sends a meaningless post request every 5 minutes to simulate some site activity. This release also adds the setting to auto-like new posts, messages and stories

The latest release now adds a "reconnect" setting which, if set to true, remakes the connection after a disconnect caused by an expired timeout. There are probably other causes that could be handled the same way but the only one I would categorize as "random" is the "timeout expired" error. In the future this might also handle the errors thrown when the pc wakes up from sleep while the socket is connected.

Thanks for the update! Maybe that'll solve the issue I'm experiencing, honestly thought it was my internet dropping for a second or something doing that but it's probably more likely to be an expired timeout

edit: Just checked the log and yeah that's what it was, didn't think of checking that before

Latest release adds more granular settings. The format might be a little confusing, but it's explained better in the github readme.

For your case, You'll want to change
"like": true,
into
"like": { "posts": true, "stories": true },

This likes all posts and stories but not messages,

I'm running the latest release 1.23
I keep getting disconnects and the auto reconnect isn't doing anything. I have reconnect set to true in settings (left as it was from release)

Definitely an issue on OF's side. Looking at the normal traffic, half of the time the request to create the websocket returns 502, the other half of the time the websocket only lives for a few minutes before the connection closes with error 1006 (which is what's happening here). Not sure if it's even a high priority to fix this, because if this is a feature and not some temporary network issues the OF developers are even more incompetent that i thought

I've implemented a fix in the same way the website handles it. I've turned off the "connection established" notification that would pop up on every connection as it seemed like it would get annoying, especially if OF keeps having these issues.

How much time is it meant to take before it reconnects? For me its just disconnecting and then staying disconnected.
I'm using that latest release 1.24 and I waited 7 mins but no auto reconnect

Should be almost instant. I've chosen not to reconnect on a http 502 error. If you get the disconnect notification, it won't be auto reconnecting

I'm no longer receiving notifications for messages. When I look at the logs it says...
