every post i've found about downloading widevine will give you all the details except how to get the key. or the tool they mention to get keys no longer works. no solution yet. but i've found some promising leads.

I would suggest quitting onlyscams in protest but that will fall on deaf ears as the kind of people who didn't know how to rip anything from the source will just continue on completely oblivious.
This kind of user hostility should otherwise have killed the site given no other porn sites bothered to implement widevine.
No idea why anyone thinks this is trivial to circumvent. I'm yet to see this particular implementation circumvented. I can see models are encouraging one another to delete everything from their vaults and reuploading again to take full advantage of this.
Unless a trivial workaround emerges relatively soon from the likes of digitalcriminal, I am done with paying anything to this member hostile scam that is onlyfans.

I got my own keys and stuff but downloading with the .mpd url doesn't work: "ERROR: [generic] None: Unable to download webpage: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden (caused by <HTTPError 403: 'Forbidden'>);", probably because you need to be logged in and subbed. Is there another easy way to download the files? And any hint where to find the license-url?
Yeah, tried with headers (multiple --add-header), --user-agent, --referer, cookies (--cookies-from-browser firefox), nothing worked so far. And I still haven't found the license URL.
EDIT: I got some files, I think I found the right PSSH, license server (and maybe the right headers) are still missing.

No. What it means is that those videos just simply won't play.
PS. It's only older (not even necessarily old, just not updated) Android devices. DRM works fine on Android.
is this also stopping coomer from ripping profiles or is that unrelated?

So the way you can tell if the vid has the DRM from my experience is the video quality selection pop up.
"normal" seems to list Original Quality at the bottom underneath 240p and 720p
"DRM" lists Original Quality at the top with 720p, 240p, and Auto listed beneath.
Samsung Internet Browser was not able to save the alleged DRM vid via built in Video Assistant. "Normal" vids are still savable using the same method.

lol the second half is why they'll never be as big or as attractive as OF.
But on this DRM celebration... It just shows how smooth-brained so many of these content creators are.
They never resort to being more consumer friendly.
They don't make an effort to provide quality previews for their videos.
They don't try to make better content.
I see no reason why they don't make old content available as a sort of content bank to give their membership some value. There's a reason why some accounts thrive no matter what level of piracy affects their content. (Look at Dredd)
I would even argue for the Game of Thrones halo effect.
I'll be on the lookout for it on my future purchases.
I think that's why they tend to resell stuff, actually. Granted, some are more open about the fact that the videos are being offered up again.
They aren't selling it to the people who already bought it, but to the people who didn't have a chance to get it the last time it was up cause they weren't subbed.
Sorry, that comment kinda just brought that to mind for me lol. I do think having a bit of a backlog of sorts that's easy for new/returning subs to access would be a good idea.

Yes, you bought it. You should be able to own it.
What this DRM is trying to force is you buying it, but not actually owning it.
Going to guess that this is probably the end of easily being able to download anything from OF. I just did a little digging into into DRM and widevine specifically, it basically encrypts the videos so that a key is required to view them. Without the key, you can't view the video.
I think it is probably possible in theory for someone to develop another scraper like digitialcriminals that is able to download these newly protected videos (but I don't know for sure, I'm no coder), but it seems like the problem is decrypting the video files once they're downloaded. Someone would have to find the encryption key somehow, and even if they manage to do that, OF will probably just patch in a new key once they catch wind of it.
So the long and short of it to me seems to be that this is the end of downloading stuff from OF for the most part. Really unfortunate for those that like to have ownership over the content they pay for, as well as people who use OF content in little bits to make their own nsfw compilations. I also imagine some creators might see a hit from this. I know I'm personally not interested in subscribing to anyone if I know I can't take their content with me after my subscription ends.
