I think this is an issue with the proliferation of porn. There's so much getting put out there that's lazily categorized and labeled that gets established into people's headcanon. Interracial porn (at least in the US) has a pretty significant taboo factor to it. Well, "half of all marriages end in divorce" still stands as a valid statement in 2023, and that's only for first marriages, let alone 2nd, 3rd ect. So I would say there are plenty of other things in life that are far more reaching and more likely to negatively impact mental health than this fairly obscure genre.
