Yeah, I think her symbolic religious undertones are like an “olive branch” to her estranged family - who are right-leaning upper middle class. I also think she has more of a libido than she wants to let on, and she lets it slip sometimes in her more sensual videos. It’s definitely interesting to see her internal conflict with religious salvation and sexuality: she “wants” to be saved in a religious context, but doesn’t want to confront her mental issues. Homosexuality is pretty much a sin “cut and dry”. She can’t keep appealing to both ideological sides in a hope to maximize audience. She replaces nuance with emotion, and probably changes opinion on a dime.
That’s the general problem with ASMR girls, as far as my experience has been. A lot of them come from this “teenage alienation” phase that doesn’t healthily adjust because of their “enablers” that begin to support them online. This leads to a toxic relationship between supporter and creator, where outsiders who criticize or cast an unfavorable light onto the creator deal with unwarranted backlash.
At least with porn or more corporate ASMR a là Gibi, there’s a more defined barrier against emotional intimacy/parasociability. A lot of people can see through the bullshit that people like Frivvi use, so it can stagnate subscriber count after the creator’s peak, but there remains a stable viewership of roughly a few hundred thousand for most videos. But, community quality like Twitch Chat, subreddits, etc. are poor and toxic because it’s mostly lonely men and an emotionally unstable woman interacting with each other. The love might be valid, but the honesty is not.
