Guide Forum Post Downloader - Tampermonkey Script

Introduction​

This script can download the contents of many posts on the forum including locally hosted attachments and files on some external hosts such as jpg.church, pixl, cyberdrop, bunkr, pixeldrain and others.

The script adds a download button alongside every post and a download all button at the top of every page which will download every post on the page.

Installation​

- Install the tampermonkey extension

- Click on the icon up near the web address bar (1) (you may have to click the puzzle piece to see it if its hidden) and then select 'Create a new script...' (2)

- Paste in the latest version of the script

into the editor field overwriting the default template

- Select File then Save

​

- Go to settings (1), change 'Config mode' to 'Advanced' (2)

- Then scroll down to 'Downloads BETA' (1) and change the option to 'Browser API' (2)

You should then see a download button alongside every post and at the top of every thread on the forum (you need to refresh any open tabs after installing), just hit the download button and the tool will download all media it can from the post/thread.

Weird Zip Names​

If zips download with a weird filename i.e. f81dfbdc-eb8b-4b37-8bb5-5100d498e2f6.zip then you should disable any download managers such as downthemall, free download manager etc., refresh the page and try again

yeah, it is really hit or miss. I get the same result at times.

Maybe the simp2.jpg.church server is slower than some of the other ones?

Is there a copy of a previous version of the script somewhere that I can try?

I am getting the same problem when trying to rip posts from this thread here. *Blacklisted site* and Gofile work just fine. It seems like when its downloading from https://simpcity.su/threads/musclemochi-mm24592.14944/post-832842 under the simp6.host.church CDN, it will get stuck unless you refresh the page.

exactly, it's those older posts that were uploaded to jpg.church

The images load very very slowly. Even opening them individually takes forever.

newer jpg.pet links generally work fine.

It does the same thing with previous versions of the script too, I checked.

Could you guys add an option to rename image files as it is downloaded like img-001.jpg, img-002.jpg, etc.? So that it retains the order of the images? Sometimes important when downloading photoshoots or something where it's intended to be viewed in a particular order. Thanks

The script starts to resolve the links and then nothing happens.

Is there a way to set a custom download directory? I would like to have my normal downloads go to my downloads folder but for forum downloads I'd would Like them to go the the D drive or somewhere else. I keep having to delete these empty folders in my downloads folder in C and move to my forum download drive in D.

I dont wanna change my default download directory for everything to D just stuff i download with the script.

Seems to be having issues with Bunkr again and also downloading an additional image to say to create an account....

Latest release 2.6.8, released earlier today, removed the scraping of that image.

As for bunkr, have a look see if you can manually download the one script cant. I've found any the script cant get I also cant get without changing VPN server

The pic got changed again and bunkr have also changed things. I'll rework some stuff in a bit

Not scraping the pic is simple enough but its likely to change often.

Bigger problem is the bunkr change, the script currently looks for a link in the download button which it downloads.
However, it seems that link is no longer there and instead there is a script that detects when the button is pressed and does some stuff with tokens etc.
Stuff thats beyond me tbh, hopefully someone else can find a solution

Is there a way to disable downloading the crawl confirmation image for each post download?

I've just noticed every post I go to download will include this confirmation image as an additional download in each zip file:

Ah, apologies Poki. I didn't realise it was a similar situation to the Bunkr image issue.

Can anyone please tell me that after I click download how to get all the files to download into a folder with the correct form name? not just land in my computers stock download folder? They were landing into download folder as a .zip file but ive turned that off now just need them to grab thread title and create folder.

It should be downloading into folders.
Disable any downloading extensions you have like downthemall and try again
