Why use one?
While your browser probably has one built in, a dedicated download manager has more features that will benefit you as a data hoarder. This includes faster downloads by using multiple connections, bypassing sketchy download sites and wait times, allow for resuming and scheduling of hundreds of links, and more.

So it's the plugin defect. Happens with some folders.

Quick fix :

Here are the direct download links.
1. Delete your current links from JD
2. copy this list to your linkgrabber

3.Make sure JD is set to Max 1 chunk + Max 2 or 3 same host (post above)
4.Start your download

What you need :

(when you install add a new action and select "Copied to clipboard")
2. Text editor like MS Word

Steps :
1. Disable Clipboard observer on JD (Clipboard icon on the main toolbar - same bar as start/stop buttons)
2. Using Linkclump copy all individual inks from the folder
3. Past links in Word
4. In Word : use "find and replace" (Edit -> Find - >Replace) with the parameters FIND : "cdn" REPLACE WITH "media-files" (without quotation marks)
5. Click replace all
6. Copy results
7. Go back to JD and enable Clipboard observer --> JD should now crawl the new list.
6. Put all your links in one folder
7. Right Click on your folder --> Properties --> Max. Chunks per Download --> Set to 1
8. Click on the Speedmeter (speed graph when downloads are on - Top up right) --> Max. sim. Downloads per Hoster --> Set to 2 or 3 (sometimes 3 doesn't work- better go with 2 )
9. Start your downloads

I've got JDownloader2 for general use and CyberDropDownloader primarily for the common hosts used here. JDownloader2 is a fairly comprehensive scraper + download manager and has a pretty good library of supported sites (the settings currently list 3776 site plugins) and it usually does a pretty good job with unsupported sites too. The downside is it's java.

I've also been trying out FDM lately and while it's not bad it doesn't do anything that's not already covered by the other two, and it does a lot less than JDownloader2. Its torrent support might be useful if you almost never use them anyway I guess but I don't count that as a useful feature myself.


(P.S.: OP, you can put JDownloader2 under linux and mac too.)

bunkrr.su tricky. Bunker doesn't handle chunks or multiple simultaneous downloads well

Summary : Max 1 chunk + Max 2 or 3 same host

How to ?

Choice 1 :
You have to do it each time you add bunkr links to the linkgrabber
1. Right Click on your package --> Properties --> Max. Chunks per Download --> Set to 1
2. Click on the Speedmeter --> Max. sim. Downloads per Hoster --> Set to 2 or 3 (sometimes 3 doesn't work)
3. Start your downloads

Choice 2 :
I don't like this one because it forces all downloads from other hosts to 1 chunk
1. Click on the Speedmeter --> Max. Chunks per Download --> Set to 1
2. Click on the Speedmeter --> Max. sim. Downloads per Hoster --> Set to 2 or 3 (sometimes 3 doesn't work)
3. Start your downloads

I'm glad to hear others have had good luck with Jdownloader. I set it up in a docker container, afraid to install it in my main Win machine as it just seemed sketchy and a little buggy. I'll give it a try again. For now I got a good price on StreamFab on one of their sale days and it works.

The API for GoFile was updated, which caused JDownloader not to work. Looks like there still hasn't been an official update to fix it. But in their community page, there is a workaround that has been posted:

How do you guys download from cuiogeo.com? I signed up for a subscription and would like to download the videos for off-line viewing but the page has multiple videos inline and the downloaders that I've tried so far have been unable to recognize the video tags to capture the content.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can do this?

Answer: It turns out that the site uses HLS to stream its content.

Bunkr has updated and changed stuff multiple times after the JDownloader plugin for it was updated. The plugin devs are very slow with updates unless it's for a huge popular site so it will most likely take months before they feel like updating it again.

Edit: Actually it looks like they don't even have a separate dedicated plugin for it, I thought they did. Well anyway if you have problems with it, it's unrealistic to expect it to start working any time soon. It looks like it kind of works but not always.
