For me personally it's a very good exchange.
I feel like the scars will always be visible but they should fade over time with proper care to be less noticeable, less red and more skin coloured but that’s just my guess. What’s also my guess is that her scars should not be that noticeable and a guess to why they are like that is not giving them proper care, so I would your guess is probably not that far off.
