Please, take a minute to vote on the following poll.

Please, Log in or Register to see links and images

Servers and energy prices in Europe, which is where our servers are located, have risen quite a lot and so have the costs. Having a generous upload size, means servers get filled up quite fast and we can't just keep adding and adding without simply adding more ads to cover the costs, which we wont.

Because of this, we will be forced to finally introduce the file expiration. The poll has 4 options, from 25 days to 45 days expiration regardless of the file activity. Choose wisely. We will check the poll result on Friday night, and apply the configuration starting Saturday.

Reminder that Bunkr isn't your replacement for MEGA, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.

If you want permanent storage, check our sister page

, in which you can purchase pernanent, resilient storage.

Wait, are you saying that all of the files that I've uploaded to Bunkr will be deleted on Saturday if it's been 25/45 days since they were originally uploaded?

Then you need to use mega/drive or something else to store your content permanently. Album expiration is the same, album expires = files get deleted.

We've mentioned countless times, do not use bunkr with the intention of just storing files in there without sharing. We ARE NOT a MEGA, Drive, dropbox, etc. replacement at all.

couple of questions if you don't mind.

1. is this a temporary issue and would you go back to the way it was before if the cost came down?
2. could you when this is dealt with just have the file expiration reset anytime a new download has been made/ ad revenue has been generated?
3. i'm generally curious how much users using adblocking is hurting your profit margins - but truth be told i haven't been surfing the web without adblocking and doubt the userbase would even give a fuck.. so just the uploaders greenlighting your ads would probably not make a difference
4. how is the file expiration on cyberfile set up?

1. We are evaluating new options. But if this were to be put in place, it would be permanent, at least for now. Now, we are evaluating 1-2gb file limit with no deletion, rather than 5gb.
2. That's the idea, active files, which have views/downloads will get their timer reset.
3. We are currently not tracking adblockers, can't really comment on it.
4. Same as above, active files are permanently store. Inactive files will get deleted after 30 days from the last download. So if the last download of the file was on the 1st of December, the file will get deleted on the 31st.

Uploaders:

Due to the constant abuse of users uploading 2TB+/day with no intentions of sharing, meaning, using bunkr as their personal MEGA, Google Drive, etc. We've been forced to decrease the upload file size to 2GB, permanently. Also, within the next few weeks or a month or so, all files that are more than 2GB that are inactive (no views) will get purged. If your files get views, then no need to worry, we wont delete them.
It is very important that you understand that servers, network are not cheap, specially with this degree of resiliency. Thus, please do not treat bunkr as a backup service for your files. No one likes ads, but the more stuff you upload without sharing the more we need to put ads to maintain the service afloat.
Users that abuse our service will get banned and all files purged.

You are free to use our sister site that has a built-in auto deletion based on activity with a maximum upload size of 10GB!, as well options to buy at a very low price permanent storage, just like gofile. But the main difference is the resilliancy of our servers and service.
