Alex was the one known for her chess before she really stopped playing and became a content creator. She was close to 2100 like 8 years ago. She was never going to be a WGM, or compete at a really high level, but was an expert-level player. Not as much now since she really stopped playing competitively years ago. Andrea was never on that level.

Both Botez sisters basically play for content and will never put in the hours you need to be great. Their advantage is they have access to high level GM coaching but simply don't have the hours to devote to it. Thanks to their high level coaching they can beat lower ranked players but have hard time against similarly ranked players and usually lose to higher ranked players. Again, they are playing for content now.
