I was wondering why Alex was in Canada with shitty wifi and not in LA. And why they had only like 1,800 viewers when they have been getting close to 20k recently playing chess tournaments. I know they are probably getting good money to gamba but man you are throwing away a lot of your audience and making yourself look like a total scumbag for some coin. All that goodwill and momentum from the chess tourneys is out the window.

Didn't one of the chess players roast them online when Alex started playing poker and tried to get their audience to sign up for some gambling site in the Bahamas? He said something like the Botezs would throw their own grandma in front of a bus for a buck.

I don't like nor chess nor poker so i don't care about either. Alex herself said OF is totally ok among creators and she has no problem with it. If she can make 10x more with poker than with Twitch why she should not do it? I doubt anyone here would refuse poker money just because it's somehow amoral. There are plenty of casinos in USA. There are no money in chess and they had very few sponsors. So I assume their content and brand just not interesting for sponsors.

From some of her streams about poker I know that there is luck involved but it's still game of skill. And why it's her problem if some idiots don't get that in poker you most likely lose and if you not a pro at game it's basically lottery.

Dude, someone literally linked a YouTube video where Alex said making an Onlyfans is taking advantage of a parasocial relationship with your fans and is for losers who need to touch grass and talk to a real girl. Plenty of streamers have turned down gambling sponsorships cause they didn't want to take advantage of their audience. Twitch even banned gambling streams but won't with poker at least not yet. But she can't even stream poker from the U.S. and had to go back to Canada where it is legal. Believe me it's a grey area and many would like Twitch to outright ban online poker no matter where the streamer is located.

I mean there must have been some money in chess since they certainly have done well as chess streamers the past 4 years on Twitch. I don't think they are struggling for money so much that Alex was forced take gambling sponsorships and gamble on stream.

It's her problem if she is promoting it on stream to her audience and gets them to sign up with her sponsor. That is the only reason she has a gambling sponsor. They are hoping to convert the Botez viewers into gamblers who will lose money which makes them money. The gambling sponsor fronts her money so she is not even using her money. That is the lure and that is what they also did with xQc. People see her winning thousands of dollars in online poker and that money never really existed. Then her audience gets the idea that they can do it. And of course they end up losing their actual real money. It's a really scummy way to make money off your viewers.

Now if she was actively promoting her sister doing it yeah, but her sister is a grown woman so idk how Alex is a hypocrite for something her sister is doing. Plus that last sentence you wrote on the subject is purely hypothetical and until she says one way or another we will never know.

She has made fun of alex on stream about it numerous times, they would get into a fight over it. When they first merged channel together it was suppose to be 50/50 partnership. The whole reason for fanhouse cause Andrea wasn't being paid. Also Andrea passes are just instagram pics lol no harm there imo, she just need to fully take over the channel, since she is the star of Botezlive, but maybe contracts are blocking that. Andrea pulls way more viewers in chess then Alex. When Andrea is locked in, she is the better player, these tournaments have showed that.

So Andrea is the good Botez and Alex is the bad one lol? But I think people know that Andrea is the reason they blew up. Alex was first known as a chess hottie and it was her that got everything going when she started streaming chess in college. But on her own she had a very low ceiling as a social media influencer and streamer since she is just boring and devoid of personality. She comes off as an ice queen. Andrea is the star and that is why they blew up. People care about Andrea. I don't think many care about Alex since she comes off as very cold and awkward.

The chess player someone mentioned as going after Alex for the gambling is their nemesis Hans Niemann who has his own issues being accused of cheating. But he was 100% correct that Alex doesn't care about their audience by promoting gambling and crypto to them and would throw her grandma in front of the bus for a buck. This is Alex and not Andrea. Andrea doesn't seem down with it from what she has said on stream. But Alex runs the show.

I mean their audience cared since the mods were deleting a bunch of messages and clearly people weren't happy for the gamba turn. Yes, a number of streamers have done awful things. Usually they get banned from Twitch and then banished to the Island of Misfit Toys aka Kick like Adin Ross, Slicker, Bruce, etc. But the streamers who embrace peddling gambling sites to their young audience revel in being called scumbags. xQc pretty much flaunts it. But Alex cares a lot about what people think about her and is very sensitive to criticism. That is why she tried to start the stream by quoting from a bunch of books that poker isn't really gambling. Her cheap Canadian internet kept cutting out so it was like a higher power was telling her to STFU you freaking hypocrite lol.

I wouldn't mind if they split the channel and their brand honestly. I rather Andrea on her own. They seem to be going in two different directions. Alex is now sponsored by a gambling site and is all in with turning the BotezLive channel and brand into a gamba channel. She seems to care more about poker now and seems to have zero issues pimping shady gambling sites onto her audience which is NOT a good thing. Just like with the crypto site the Botez sisters are also sponsored by. And now she left Los Angeles and went back to Canada to do it cause it's not allowed in the U.S. Twitch allows poker right now but it's very controversial and if they end up banning it like the other gambling, then what do the Botez sisters do? Go to Kick? This move is very risky since it really alienates their core audience.

Andrea seems to want to play chess more now and promote her DJing. She likes living in LA or NYC. She seems more interested in being a social media personality and trying to be entertaining in their content as opposed to Alex who just sits there trying to scam their audience.

Alex would never allow it cause she knows Andrea is the draw and she would greatly suffer on her own. Anytime Alex streams alone like 80% of the chat asks where Andrea is and they want to see Andrea.

If wish if Alex wanted money this badly she would have just made a Passes like her sister and uploaded slightly better Instagram pics like very tasteful lingerie pics and pics that show off her fat ass in leather pants or skirts. She easily could have made a good deal of cash just like Andrea and she wouldn't have had to move back to Canada to gamble and potentially kill off like 70% of their audience.

Alex is in no danger of losing her money. That is because the poker site she is getting paid to work for now are covering her buy-ins and losses. She admitted that on the first stream although I don't know if she has continued to bring that up cause it's very important and shows it's all a scam and paid ad.

The gambling sites are basically buying paid commercials for 4 hours when they sponsor a streamer. They don't care about milking one gambling addict in Alex and getting money from her. They want to milk thousands of potential gambling addicts she brings in by making poker seem like a fun way to make lots of easy money. So Alex is safe while gambling. Her audience if they choose to play? They aren't.
