Well, it
might be a safe assumption, but those numbers really grow quick when running a business.
Please keep in mind the following assumptions that I'm making for Stinky Dragon.
1. Everyone is making $15 per hour, USD.
2. Everyone is working 40 hours a week.
3. There are 7 employees that work full time for Stinky Dragon podcast (I heard that they had 7 employees, but I don't
really know for sure or their hours worked.)
Those are some BIG assumptions. Barb's been working this industry for a while now. Does anyone really think she's only making $15 per hour?
Still the calculations have to start somewhere.
So, based on the original assumptions, they need to be clearing
$218,400 USD per year.
Please keep in mind that this is ONLY for their salary.
This does
NOT include:
Health benefits,
Dental,
Vision,
401K,
Insurance for the company (i.e. what if you slip and fall at work?)
Equipment
Rental Space
<insert something else that I forgot>
To be safe, I'd assume that they'd need to clear a half million per year.
But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there is less employees for the company? Maybe they don't work 40 hour weeks for the full year? Maybe they make less then $15 per hour?
She must love the podcast if she dosen't want to drop an OF set and make a few $K for a few hours work.
