I’m not defending her tactics nor have I ever spent a cent on her, but I think it’s a false premise that anyone following/supporting her is under some “delusion”.

We’re talking about an industry where people pay money to people for—usually—some sort of sexual gratification. Fantasy is an inherent part of that transaction, and involves a suspension of disbelief. People can, and do, enter into that willingly and with complete awareness.
