Guide Forum Post Downloader - Tampermonkey Script

Introduction​

This script can download the contents of many posts on the forum including locally hosted attachments and files on some external hosts such as jpg.church, pixl, cyberdrop, bunkr, pixeldrain and others.

The script adds a download button alongside every post and a download all button at the top of every page which will download every post on the page.

Installation​

- Install the tampermonkey extension

- Click on the icon up near the web address bar (1) (you may have to click the puzzle piece to see it if its hidden) and then select 'Create a new script...' (2)

- Paste in the latest version of the script

into the editor field overwriting the default template

- Select File then Save

​

- Go to settings (1), change 'Config mode' to 'Advanced' (2)

- Then scroll down to 'Downloads BETA' (1) and change the option to 'Browser API' (2)

You should then see a download button alongside every post and at the top of every thread on the forum (you need to refresh any open tabs after installing), just hit the download button and the tool will download all media it can from the post/thread.

Weird Zip Names​

If zips download with a weird filename i.e. f81dfbdc-eb8b-4b37-8bb5-5100d498e2f6.zip then you should disable any download managers such as downthemall, free download manager etc., refresh the page and try again

• Added support for bunkrs new domain, bunkrr.su
• Speed improvements for simp1-5.jpg.fish by changing the image links from .church to .fish which is still on cloudflare (unknown if this will cause issues)
• Fixed a small mostly unnoticable bug with the jpg.fish regex which meant a few images not on a simpX server are now supported (very rare, only happens when the servers get full)

When there's the same thing from different sources?
Maybe a "dropdown" menu to show the links that u want to download?
Like, instead of right now:

we could have instead, with a option or something

and so on? It might be a problem if there's too many links, so prolly a better solution for that is required.

Yes, but detecting duplicates is difficult without fetching each link and that would significantly delay the parsing for each page. Have a bunch of features I want to implement and will be rewriting the script when I have time. Will add duplicate detection based on file sizes.

not been in for awhile, just read through pages to see if the issues im having was mentioned.

i might have missed it, but my shit is suddenly not downloading by rar, and when downloaded shits giving me as a warning (ofc its a false warning but still weird). also tried disabling auto update manually but shit just breaks.

also, whats up with change with folder-ing? ie Name_post#10 folder and then within that folder is another "#10" folder containing the pics ? it cant just be me who fucking hates this?

anyone knows what version i can revert to where it doesnt do that weird ass folder within folders + its auto zipping per download click (iirc the latest one you always have to fucking tick the check mark for that feature) that shit can get annoying imo

edit: tried to went back to 2.3 ish > compared it to the latest build, then copy pasted some shit. so i still have the OG naming and zip downloading while still supports the new links. hope this works.

ps. probably unpopular opinion, but imo the only update this godly feature should only be for the link supports and changes or broken shit. anything else is just getting close and closer to a convoluted bloatware shit. again, just my take. by the end of the day constant updates is already a plus. you do you creator, cheers!

You're using Firefox and obviously didn't read through the pages or else you would've noticed that the naming for Firefox was changed to {thread_title} #{post_number} with no sub-directories. For Chromium based browsers, nested directories are supported and all posts are downloaded using {thread_title}/{post_number}.

First, I need you to take a deep breath. You're obviously going through a lot. Now, how is the even close to bloat? How about you go back to downloading using IDM and leave the bloatware for us?

Its actually doing an extra nest i.e. {thread_title}/{post_number.zip}/{post_number}/ and is something I want to fix at some point, just not had time

Just checking in to see if anyone has planned for this in the future/ a workaround for using this script with Violentmonkey?

Currently, see download button etc, goes through the process of downloading then at the end does nothing! checked the console and see that it does give this error
