Sounds like she probably went without oxygen to the brain for an extended time or had some sort of concussive injury when falling. The "vegetative state" likely just refers to the fact she has very limited motor skills to the point of being immobile.

But to go on and say the doctors are confused as to how she got there without any drugs in her system? She had an eating disorder as was mentioned before and was severely underweight. In that condition, it isnt uncommon for someone to have multiple heart attacks before they turn 30 or 40. It just isnt talked about much for some reason. And to say there isnt much hope for improvement is wildly unknown. This article reeks of someone that was given information and decided to mash it up all to hell only for clicks. How sweet of them

Yeah, I agree. best case for her is assisted care. If she is still able to move and speak with impediments is the best that can be hoped for. And let me also say this is from no proper medical knowledge this is just what I have soaked up from having a mom who went to nursing school and finished, and a ex that is pre-med

Thank you so much for your continued support throughout this terrible time. I want you all to know that she always talked about how much she loves talking to you on here and many of you mean a LOT to her. She never gave me names, but I'm sure you know who you are.
An update on her condition: She is no longer on a ventilator or on life-support, and her body is doing good! She is still not responsive, but we are praying she comes out of it soon. Her family is so appreciative of the donations many of you have sent to the Go Fund Me. Thank you so much!.

I kinda was expecting this, but still sad to hear that this is prognosis.
That's tough af. Happy she's alive and responding, but she's essentially 2 levels above a vegetable, and she'll be dependent on the care of others for the rest of her life.
I would want my mom and dad to give the doctor permission to give me the lethal injection, or pull the plug (if I'm still in a coma) if I was ever in that predicament, but that's just me.
