i have already been using gifs for thread-thumbnails after seeing others do the same and was in the process of editing some more.

now these will end up >10mb so i'm wondering if that even makes sense or will just slow down the server and better to stay below 5mb or don't use gifs alltogether.

limiting the filesize on those might be wise if that's the case.

If you're hosting them on church then yeah, please avoid doing that or reduce the filesize down a lot so its not requesting all that data for everyone looking at a thread list.

You might be able to reduce filesize with something like ezgif
