The link you sent says VR porn. It's a VR video that is being played on a non vr screen so the video is being translated by the video player as a 360 video. Windows Movies & TV player (default media player in Windows 10/11) has a button on the bottom right that says 360. If you download a VR video and play it it will come up as split in two. If you press the 360 button, it will translate it into 360 view where you can move the camera around. It's not exactly the same as VR but it lets you enjoy a VR video from the perspective of one eyeball, if you rotate to the other side you see the perspective of the other eyeball. If you watch it in a VR player you would see it in 3D because the left eye view is a little bit different from the right eye view and when you put it together in a VR headset it makes it 3D.

There is also a button on the bottom right of the eporner video player that allows you to see the split screen and the 360 view. It looks like a little vr headset, or a mask.

While watching vr on eporner, 360 works seamlessly but how do I make it work on my phone/tablet, as when I download a vr video the device plays it as a split screen vr video and there is no option for me to change it to 360. Is there an app for this or something ? Or should I just stick to the websites for now ? Btw I found an app which plays the video split side by side but I can change the distance between the two split video playing sides, the closest I can think of is to increase the distance and zoom in on the left or right side of the view, it's not ideal but I guess it'll work.

There's apps if you want to watch it on phone/tablet if you downloaded the video. The default video players don't support 360.

I know that at least on Mac, pretty much the only option you have is VLC player. But most videos you download from the internet will not work straight up and will just show a very distorted very ugly double split screen. You need to add some metadata to the file that tells VLC player to play it like a 360 video. For that I use an open source app called Spatial Media Metadata Injector.

It took me a reaaaaaaaaaally long time to find that out. I kept looking for ways and video players to play VR/360 video on mac, but none would, or at least not these videos which I'm seeing now are VR, which is different from 360 (dumb me). But that little Metadata Injector app is a life saver.

I don't know if it works the same way on Windows for VLC. Does it just automatically show you the 360 button for VR videos and it's the Mac version that's gimped? Or do you have to inject the 360 metadata on windows too? Or I guess you have other different players to do that?

While we are it, if I want to upload a VR video for other users, does it make a difference whether I use that Metadata Injector app? The file is otherwise the same, as far as I'm concerned. It's just the metadata that changes. But I don't know how that affects other users.

As in, if I upload the file with the 360 metadata, am I ruining the file for VR headset users? And if I don't, am I uploading a useless file for people without VR headsets?

Also, where does one go to discuss VR videos uploading best practices?

PC VLC is also missing those features. It says it is capable of playing 360 videos on their website but VLC doesn't know to turn on the feature even though it's a VR video and as far as I've found there's no manual button to turn it on and off. If anyone knows, point us in the right direction. It probably also needs the same metadata to tell VLC to play it like a 360 video. I find it dumb cus there should just be a button to turn it on and off regardless of metadata. It works this way with the Movies & TV player on Windows 10/11.

I was looking for some old magazine HQ scans in the celeb threads but couldn't find some, do you guys have any idea if there is a website from which you can download the source HQ scans of magazine photoshoots ? Google search advance filters for image sizes work upto a certain point, it's hard to find particular magazine scans on there, so I was hoping there was a way around it. Thanks

yeah probably that was part of the problem but this is an ongoing issue. All the posts I’ve made after the maintenance have done poorly and I’ve had to delete a few of them and just wait for a better time to post them again. To my understanding the main cause of this problem is that people aren’t receiving notifications whenever a new post is made in the threads they’re watching. I don’t think the admins are even working to fix the notification system they’re just waiting for people to eventually look at the threads they’ve watched to start getting notifications again. I’ve also heard that summer recently ended in the northern hemisphere and that people are going back to school or some shit but I mean come on it takes like 5 seconds to check if there’s a new post and like it

From an overall forum stats point of view, daily posts reactions hasn't gone down since the maintenance, its been on a slow rise for months and its still slowly rising, post count has roughly flatlined for the past few months with the usual fluctuations during the week for busier days (start of the week).
