Hello I've recently realized that when creating a new thread that there is only the option of uploading a photo but not a video however when you go to reply to any post then you have the ability to upload a photo, is there a particular reason why we can't upload a video clip upon starting a brand new thread?

Unfortunately, that's not currently possible. You may post that thread then click on "Edit" later. The Upload Videos option should show up that way.
