Though I wish so and your valuation seems appropriate, I don't think it is "
good" for society as a whole. A major chunk of the population consider porn as a release / fantasy rather than an extension of a possible reality they could be having themselves. That is, porn works at such a large scale without messing with people's brains only because it sells a caricature of reality, not a reality in itself.
Big porno knows it, heck if you look closely they even subtly pan out / keep slightly out of frame even natural kissing between pornstars (not the ones at the start, just random ones). So in a way the outrageous and flimsy plotlines, the obsession with size and the horrible choreography are just (implicit) signals to separate it from reality. Afaik, it's the only art form that actively tries to ensure the audience is
not immersed in it.
