Some could just indeed be models and were paid to partake in that website.

It makes perfect sense when it comes to legalizing their income. We also saw what that journalist said, part of a NGO. They get paid from it and "random" people donate money.
All looks fine.

Models need to constantly be making editorial, runways, commercial photoshoots etc.

Still I am aware of a couple that do the above and still escort (don't expect big names but with tens of thousands or 100k+ followers on IG).

Then you see them in New York, Monaco, Capri... Expensive restaurants. Maths ain't mathing. Or they actually do.

models always complain that they are not paid enough... most models want pro photographers to pay them and then the models will sell the pictures on OF without giving a cut to the photographers...

Some of the legit agency models I know that escort have minimal provocative pics on their social media. The more business minded ones are smarter and keep a low profile.
 
can anyone explain if you subscribe only for the model or for the whole #issue content ?
do every model has nude / semi-nude (exclusive) content or some of them has only usual content ?
when you subscribe, can you see the whole photosets or you should pay extra for each set ?
also, if you pay for the photoset or subscription, do you have the high-res pictures or low quality ?
i'm thinking to chase after one of the issue 2 model.

I think you get all the content with one subscription.

When you pay for the extra subscription, you 'get' all the images from the models featured in that specific issue in low resolution (you can't even directly download those images, so you have to use a workaround to get them).

The majority of the models featured in each month issue also have their hi-resolution images you can buy. Those do NOT come with a subscription, you have to buy them separately.

  • Single images: those are the exact same as in the issue, only in hi-resolution.
  • Sets of images (I believe most of them have 10): different ones from the magazine in hi-resolution (not always, some are lazy variations in black and white or vice-versa).

Are there any more revealing pics that you can only see if you pay a lot more? If so, can you give some examples?
For one, I've always liked Samantha Gradoville but I don't think her Magnifik pics have any pubic shots. She's done topless many times before for various photographers. I was hoping that she would show more.
 
If the model doesn't show pussy in the mag issue than it's highly unlikely there's pussy in their photo-sets.

I just compared her images in the magazine with the hi-resolution sets (from the two issues in which she appeared so far), and to my judgment they are not any more revealing. They are just other (not always like I said) images from that models shoot that have been put together as a set, not based on how much is shown if you will.

It's just another way, besides a subscription, in which Magnifik tries to make you buy their stuff.

There is typically very little pay for models and photographers on editorial (magazine shoot). For example cover of Vogue model making $200 and photographer (not a name brand) losing money after he/she goes out of pocket for things Vogue won't cover.
these are A list models. Top agencies. They do it for clout and being flown to cool locations and working with a great photographer that has ties to the high fashion world. Commercial (ads) is where models and photographers make a lot of money.
Escorting... maybe but it is very unlikely that this magazine serves that in any capacity - there are too many moving parts as well as a crew of 5-10 on each shoot. If any of these women escort they do it on their own or though their own agency - not though a random mag and photographer that has been in trouble for having sex w models.
A step away from escroting that I'm sure many models participate in is sugar daddy situations where rich man wants to buy gifts, dinners and basically pay for her to be arm candy. Sex may or may not be involved (although the man hopes that eventually it does). Very typical in the fashion industry.
This magazine costs a shit ton to make. Locations, stylists, assistants, videographers, web... As long as David is footing the bill then they need to charge a shit load just to break even. Commercial photographer also.. I don't recognize anything of what you say. $100k+ jobs versus 200 dollar vogue covers? If somebody does that it's for the publicity and it will pay back. If you are a good photographer and don't want to limit yourself so something very very specific there is plenty of money to make. Besides that, making the quality low, the prices absurd is not a good business model in any situation. It doesn't have to be cheap but what happens now is weird, it just doesn't add up. So people start to speculate. If the price was reasonable, they would earn more.

We follow each other on ig and chat occasionally, she's on holiday like constantly, as someone said above, the math is suspicious.

What don't you understand? Editorial rates are notoriously horrific for both photographers and models. From silly local mags all the way up to Vogue and GQ. Both model and photographer use the editorial work as a form of clout or representation to showcase their work so that they can book commercial jobs that pay the photographer and model $100k+ including fees and licensing. Magazine's are in the business of selling advertisements - end of story. The stories and photos in between the ads are there to fool the viewer that what they are subscribing to has value.
Commercial = revenue for the company XYZ shoes in the form of a multiple of their ad spend (if it works out). XYZ makes millions selling shoes. Kate Moss makes $200k putting her face on XYZ shoes and David Bellemere makes $100K for the shoot and an additional $100k in licensing each time XYZ renews their usage of the photos.
It's not weird. It's not science. It's not a secret. And it has ZERO to do with "good business". Paying a model and photographer a couple hundred bucks for their work is great business for the magazine.

your model friend is probably one of the ukrainians with low follower amount.
Models like Lola have plenty of real modeling jobs.
Your friend is probably an "instagram model" and not a "fashion model" from a big agency.
The instagram models would do this for free for the publicity and gain followers.
They send 100's of DM to photographers on websites like Modelmayhem and say like "i'll be in your city, if you want to shoot it's $100 for an hour" and they use DB's magazine to have good quality photos and followers.

What was the selling point of this magazine was that it was fashion models from big agency doing erotic style photoshoots and not "instagram models".
The price was justified by the exclusivity of those models who would never do erotic normally.
Just like when "Nu muse" selling point was to have Rachel C00k nude for the first time.
 
I have a question, all models in Magnifik are nude? Or is there also some only lingerie/covered nudity models? Im asking cause Im interested in Lucy Wieliczko (#26) but her previews on instagram are just covered-nudity
