Simp Chat Magnifik Magazine Discussion Thread

Does anyone else think Magnifik has a horrible business model?

Even if you pay $124.99 (!) per month for Magnifik extra, you only get acces to low resolution photos from the magazine and low resolution videos.
If you want to purchase high resolution photos, the prices are ridiculously high ($50 for 1 hi-res picture and $149 for a set of 10 hi-res pictures).

I'm pretty sure that Magnifik sells very little hi-res pictures and sets, and almost all the money they earn comes from the subscriptions for the low resolution stuff. The high resolution photos are simply too expensive. I'm pretty sure many photosets haven't been bought by anyone.

Many people who like David Bellemere's work don't bother buying the subscription because of the low resolution, and as a result don't buy anything because the high resolution photos are way too expensive. Who wants to pay for low resolution photos these days, when everyone is used to UHD, 4K etc? Although the photos are definitely not comparable, Hegre for example offers all their photos in 14000px, included in their membership. Treats!, Playboy plus etc also offer all their photos in hi-res, included in the standard membership.

I'm pretty sure Magnifik would get a lot more subscribers if they would give each issue in high resolution to their subscribers. They would also make more money because they don't sell that much high resolution photos anyway.

What do you guys think about this?

He's currently on issue #21. I assume he's not burning through money just for the fun of it. What suggests that there's something wrong with the business model?

I must admit I only have anecdotal evidence for this, but I don't think many people are buying hi-res photos. I think you're correct that he earns money from Magnifik, but mainly from the subscriptions. I think the money he earns from selling hi-res photos is negligible, so changing his business model would seem logical.

Giving the subscribers hi-res photos would result in many new subscribers and the current subscribers would obviously keep on subscribing.

This is an horrible business model for multiple reasons.

You could justify the prices if the model :
1. had never done nude / full frontal before - you'd pay for the exclusivity.
2. were high fashion professional models and not some instagram models from ukraine.

Some of his models like Lola are pro fashion moels who had never done full nude before... shs is not yet a "famous" model but in the latest issues, he started to pick some instagram models who would shoot with anyone for like $200 on modelmayhem...

The business model is also extremly bad because the pictures are downloadable... If someone one is willing to spend $125 / months, with let's say 5 series/sets per months that's like $25 / set / month. All you have to do is find 3 people to buy the individual sets for $10 / months and you're making a profit.
To keep his prices so high, he needs to fight against leaks very quickly which requiers time/money... No leak = people are forced to buy. BUT that also means that it gives lots of room to leakers to sell the sets for a cheaper price because the demand is high due to the lack of leak.

My point is that if girls like Belle Delphine are capable to rack $ 1 million / month depite the leaks, there is probably a way for him to get $ 100,000 / months by having a beter price structure...

His distribution also sucks... He drops all the sets in one batch. If he dropped one set / week, people who keep interest in a subscription model.

Bellemere is a big name in the modeling industry and could have access to high caliber models and this would be his competitive advantage compared to other online magazines... If the models become the same type as in other magazines like treats! or whatever but his prices stay high then it doesn't make sense...

It's just good science. :WeSmart:

Will continue here. It had been suggested in the past that magnifik etc with the exorbitant pricing might be some way of premium escort advertising.
Not sure about all but wouldn't be surprised at all if most of the models of that level make their money, have their vacations paid and live a ridiculously luxurious life.

If you need to see a listing with their photos on a escorts website then you will never do so.

do we have any proof that the models are actually escorting ?? the pics are nice and nude modelling pays more so..couldn't it be as simple as that??
The models are way "classier" than the average nude models.
The magazine is way expensive than a regular NSFW magazine.
There're rumors that the models didn't get well payed for the photos.
This whole thing looks like a dogwhistle to first class escort service. Way more than the average nut material.

I know one of the models and can say for sure that she doesn't do those kind of services. But obviously can't speak for all...

even if money is better for nude modelling, i don't believe it's anything extraordinary...the 90ies are gone and these are not top models, merely random beautiful girls...and how would they go from that to escorting ? i don't think they would need a magazine to promote their services nowadays, any girl has that opportunity any day in her DMs...
obviously, i'm just sharing an opinion, i know nothing of what's going on there and these kind of shoots/collaborations with photographers have always intrigued me

It’s for wealthy guys only who will pay top dollar. Kind of like what Epstein used to do. Curate beautiful regular every day girls and funnel them to the ultra rich. It gives them extreme privacy and discretion. The magazine subscription fee is a retainer to have access.

Maybe it's a way to legalize income.. The customer pays extremely expensive for a digital "photo". Some goes to the photographer and some to the model.
Simple.

Making a faux luxury nude modeling website with overpriced pictures just to find customers for your escorts seems like a needlessly convoluted idea. If I got money and I wanna get an escort, I'm not gonna start buying nudie pictures and overpriced picture books online, I'll find actual agency/model sites that offer.

Besides that, I'd look at the individual model on whether I'd believe they're escorting or not. Someone like Inka Williams, whose whole Instagram is playing with her pets, friend's baby or hanging out in Bali, probably not. But someone like Liza Kovalenko, who's somehow in a different country every week and only seems to stay in the nicest hotels, visiting the nicest restaurants, I'd be much more inclined to believe it.
